Not a silly thread, it was just pointing out that you do not get much of a return of investment on a fully optioned car, which is true. I buy a car with options I want and will use and that is why I order a car and not what the dealer thinks I want.

Quite, but the mistake this guy made isn't the number of options, it's that he drove it 1000 miles and sold it back!

Then more fool the dealership. Could be a cancelled order still.

Says you and who are you to say it's a silly thread? Don't post on it then eh?

Who are you to tell me I shouldn't fill my car with "silly" options? Don't order them and don't post about it then eh?

Perhaps he is like me and thinks the privacy glass makes the A3 look like a van. Not an option I would ever order.

I don't even know what car or what options you've filled your car with for a start, that car is a bargain for anyone interested in getting a fully loaded S3 at a bargain price matter of fact there's a member who's interested in it and has made a enquiry, so not a silly thread as you called it,as for silly options l don't think any option is silly but everything in moderation l said my point was on this cars options was the amount of them.
As for semi autonomous driving aid options l personally don't see the need for them

Your thread title seems to suggest otherwise :)

Either way, the point I was making is that you are entitled to post a thread and call options silly, and I am entitled to post and call the thread silly.

Yeah you're right, we should go back to hand-cranking engines instead of these starter motors, and get rid of power steering too! Don't get me started on auto gearboxes or all wheel drive systems either... ****** driver aids!

We all have our own view about what is worth spending money on. Stop presenting yours as though it's fact please.

Mr. Cemerson, you seem to be taking offence to some driving aids that you have on your car, that some would deem as not necessary or silly. I would not order them om my car but you are free to purchase what you desire.
I think that no intent was made to say that you or others are silly for your choices, but your banter borders on that.

Similar to the S-Line demo I'm buying - £30k on the audi configuration, 2000 miles on the clock, sold for under £22k.

This new road tax carry on will have an impact on options as folks try to keep under £40k I reckon

It's making me think twice about getting an RS3...:concern:
but on the upside Audi might dangle a carrot to encourage the frugal amongst us........
