Which oil for forged engine ?

I have tried searching I know the engine oil for vag is 504 etc is that the same for a forged engine ? I need to oil change but don't know that to put in ?
 
5w - 40 fully synthetic be ok ?

Thanks peeps I have some good 5w - 40 laying around so will use that
 
I use this one on mine, Castrol Magnatec Proffesional 5W-40.

No idea if it´s **** or good to be honest. The reason I use it is because its what they use at my audi workshop, and I buy it for around 20GBP per 12 litere, but if anyone have pros or cons tell me :)
