This is driving me crazy!

Okay, I have an Audi a4 2007 2.0 TDI and this has now been going on for a week.

When I unlock the key fob the led stays flashing and I cannot enter the drivers door and all driver door controls are disabled (windows/locks etc) and I cannot open the door from inside. The interior light stays on. All the passenger doors work. However, sometimes whilst I'm moving, if I open the door and close it, the door lights come on and everything starts working. It's intermittent and very frustrating.

I had a garage scan it and the same error appeared everywhere, I believe the door control module is triggering the other errors but here's how it looked:

Ross-tech suggests:

Possible Causes
  • Fuse(s) faulty
  • Wiring/Connectors from/to Control Module faulty
  • Door Control Module Driver Side (J386) faulty
Possible Solutions
  • Check Fuse(s)
  • Check/Repair Wiring/Connectors from/to Control Module
  • Check Door Control Module Driver Side (J386)
I'm going to order a set of fuses and I'm scouring ebay for a door control module. Does anyone know the part number and any advice for fitting it? It seems quite straight forward.

Has anyone experienced this before? If so, what sorted it?

Really appreciate any advice/pointers, thanks!

You may find it as simple as a broken wire in the rubber sleeve between the A-Pillar & Door.
I finally got a chance to look when the weather wasn't so bad, it seems 3 cables are broken in the drivers door harness.

How difficult is it to sort. Would it be better to replace the harness or could I get it soldered. How difficult is it to remove?
