my rs6 c7 has been to centre gravity for alignment. Did a cracking job! But they noticed my drivers front wheel was slightly pushed back. It had previously smacked a kerb or pot hole witch has bent summit.

It pulls to the right a fair bit mainly on motorway it's kinda Bad. They ajusted my subframe to try get some of that out witch it did but limited to how much the subframe can be moved.

My question is. What would of a big smack on a kerb or pot hole cause to bend?

I would assume the bottom wishbone control arm. But would seem impossible to bend that seeing how thick it is! ??

Thanks

If they think damage had occurred due to a contact with a kerb you wouldn't try and dial it out by moving the subframe around. The item that has been damaged should be replaced . A car like that should be able to drive in a straight line.

There are only a few things it's likely to be unless the car has been involved in an accident at some point.
Item 7 the trailing arm on the front suspension is where I would be looking.

It was 2 hour drive to them mate and couldn't order parts in while I waited ect so they ajusted to see if could sort it until I can get back up there to have parts replaced

Thanks for the links! The part you think it may be is it on that link Audi.7zap ? Can't seem to find it unless it's called something else on there?

Thanks for the help

Thanks for the link mate

That's what he thought it may be! But then said it does seem very solid and thick so he wasn't to sure if it could be bent from a kerb or pot hole.

It's the front right I need for the rs6 I will ask Audi for a part number may even have to get it from Audi! Don't really want a second hand part.

A mate of mine bent a shock on his Golf in a pothole, it actually put a small ding in it where it was starting to fold up.

Really! Getting sick of the state of roads these days!

Found this place emailed me back straight away £208 including vat. Seems decent!

Was thinking would it be the wishbone bent or subframe! On what the wishbone connects to? That looks weaker where the bush is bolted in if that makes sense?

I wouldn't just change parts randomly could be any one of the suspension arms or bushes or even track rod ends etc that is causing the issue. You should get it checked properly first. If they were moving the subframe was it the camber that was out? Could be one of the top arms.

Arr ok ye mate think was the camber. They moved the subframe on the right forward and on the left back. Below is alignment this is the after results

Another note I have just noticed today the gap between the top of the tyre to arch on the right side is higher than the left! Left is about 5mm lower! Has air suspension...But problem wheel has been the right. My head is burnt lol
