What have you done to your 8V today?

Yes from the Audi parts guy - it's 16 model year I think the 17 one is completely frameless and no longer has the on/off switch for the dimming function?
Audi Parts Guy just about sums up my life.

Also the high beam assist camera is different it looks way more sophisticated on the later version so will see how it performs in the morning ....

Erm badly is the answer in fact not at all ... will have to swap the cameras this afternoon.

Maybe worth a dig inside VCDS to see if there's a setting specific to different camera types ??

Yep that was the issue, the new camera needed to be coded in VCDS ;o)

Trim is back on bit fiddly but all sorted.

Put on my winter shoes ... Blizzak WS-80's and 18" RS3 replicas.

(Next I will hopefully be able to turn off the amber corner lights if I can find the coding to do so.)

:)

Will be reusing the spacers, boot spoiler (once painted), c-tek port and dashcam. Not sure what I am doing with the rest just yet. Need to have a sort out in January as I have a box full of light switches, rain / light sensors, parking sensors, reverse camera kits + more. Forum will get first refusal on anything I am looking to get rid of :)

Waiting patiently

That's a cracking looking car mate, congrats.
Is the S4 now turbo / tiptronic the same as the new S5 rather than supercharged / S-tronic?
Yes it is, but no complaints so far.

Bought a 'Mesto foamer pressure sprayer' to use with VP Citrus Pre-Wash. I've just tried it out using my normal mix and the difference is unreal!
I presume now that it's sticking to the car as a foam rather than just a liquid mix (from a normal spray bottle) it dwells for longer and breaks down the muck much better than before. I left it 5 minutes and then jet washed it off and let it drip dry, as I don't want to touch the car much over winter as it will be dirty again in 24 hours...so it's just a case of getting most of the crud off as and when needed.

My winter tyres are proving stellar when it comes to economy. When I got in the car to go to work the other evening the range said 425 miles. 200 miles later it now says 375!

Read it and weep S3 boys!

LoL would actually be quite useful next time my car has some work done on it to stop the RS3 S/W from getting grubby :scared2:

Speaking of RS3...the face lifted Sport back....should make appearance this time next year....so stop modding and start saving....lol

Nice one!
Look forward to hearing how it goes.
I've always liked the Avants, they look much sportier than other brands. Could quite happily buy one even if an estate wasn't a nesessity

Yesterday I upgraded my 5.7 screen to Android system HD (1080 resolution) with capacitive touch-screen 7" (the vendor told me it was 9"..)
It have Bluetooth, WIFI, GPS, TV, SDcard, 2 USB an wireless rear camera which I have not yet installed at this time.

You can operate the menú from the original buttons console, and change to the original screens.

First impresions is very very good, the high quality of the screen, and have all the android functionalities on the car screen!

I bought it with other colleagues on aliexpress, The price including android system+screen, camera wireless, shipping, customs was only 415 euros!

I'm interested in the Tesla Model 3 too, the only thing that puts me off is the lack of drivers binnacle.

Had a nose around a Model X last week whilst shopping in Solihull as they have a 'dealership' shop there thought it was pretty bold. Tesla are going to be a main player soon and it may happen with the Model 3 - if they can increase the range to 300 miles then that beats my S3. Didn't clock the lack of a binnacle but guess it could make it back before production starts if that's the feedback they're getting.

Unfortunately the X & S are out of my range, nice motors though.
Yeah, the range isn't finalised yet so I was hoping they could push it to 300 miles too. If the binnacle appears on the production car I'll be in the very long queue for one.
Electric cars will soon be the everywhere and Tesla have the right idea, not everyone wants a car that looks like a Leaf or a Prius.
