Hello mates

Well, since I am trying to improve my Audi S3 a bit, I already order some new brakes, new Team Dynamic wheels, and also a set of Bilstein B14 PSS coilovers as the stock suspension is a bit wobbly.

I most likely won't use my car in the track, just want a better overall car with a good behaviour in fast driving. In the future I want to go for Stage 1. Already have Milltek catback installed, and a Forge Twintake (not yeat installed) and also a GFB DV+ (not yet installed).

My question is, when installing the Bilstein coilovers, is it better to replace also some other suspension part? I read that it is problably better to change the top mounts, mine until now didn't make any noises.

Can someone tell me wich ones to buy? OEM? Do they sell at companies like Awesome or Demon Tweeks?

I don't want te car too low, probably it will be as high as the coilovers allow (wich i think is 30mm lower that OEM) because roads here near me are not that great, but the worst is the entrance of my garage that is a bit steep and i don't want the car to hit the pavement.

Anyone has this Bilstein kit intalled that can give some feedback?

Thanks!

Morning :)

Thanks Damien, i am hoping for a good improvement also.

Well, my Bilstein kit already arrived, will put it on the car the week before Christmas since i am working abroad. Can't wait to see the improvements on the handling. Next step in the suspension will be some new ARB's for sure.

Anyway, the only thing i am in doubt is the front top mounts.

Should I get new ones? The ones in the car are still good, or at least don't make any noise. But should i get new ones just for peace of mind?

If so, i have been reading, and people talk about using TT or RS3 top mounts instead of the OEM S3 ones. Can someone throw some light into this?

And if possible provide me with some part numbers please.

Thank you very much mates! :)

Depends on the mileage, mine had done around 60K when I put my coilovers on reusing the top mounts and everything's fine.

Personally I'd put new top mounts on and I did when I put my b14 kit on. I went for the rs3 top mounts.

Do you have the part numbers? Mine is a 2006 Audi S3 so it should use the same as yours.

Because in the main dealer they only supply the parts with the VIN so without the part number I don't know which are the rs3 mounts.

Do you know what price did you paid for yours?

Thanks

I haven't got the part numbers sorry and I can't remember how much they were as I bought a load of other parts at the same time.
If you get in touch with Mike through the parts request on here, he'll be able to sort them out for you. That's were I got mine from.

Are the rs3 top mounts any different to the S3 ones though? I've heard conflicting reports that they are the same anyway.
Definitely change them while it's all out.
Saves stripping the struts to use the old ones too!

Well I will be talking to Mike then, to see if he can sort out theses parts then. I too think it is better to change the top mounts. Better safe then sorry i guess.

Thanks
