I spoke to them yesterday and they hadn't heard anything from Audi. I've called again today, he said he will chase it up again

African highway due in this afternoon to Emden, so hopefully some of our cars will get on this one; depending on where it is going of course :)

Mine's sat in 'preparation' at the moment. Supposed to build week 4 next year... fingers crossed.
 
Mine sat at preparation for nearly 2 months bud, so build week 4 sounds about right.

from history @Mark_86 it works in my case that my expected build date was the 12th December which is a Monday - and the Thursday before so the 8th (today) is the day the car has gone into the panel shop. my car was sat in prep for roughly a month and a bit similar to yours will be. so if you look at it as your car will begin to go into the panel shop 4 days prior to the build date....

EDIT: in your case the car will go into the panel shop the 19th of Jan I would say

You're welcome bud! No not yet - probably looking at the first week in Jan I would imagine. the car has gone into the panel shop this morning so fingers crossed with how everyone elses cars are progressing it could be at the port in a weeks time then its a matter of waiting for a ship to collect it!

yeah I cant wait now like I said before I've already got a few drives and routes planned for when it arrives with a few friends who own M135i's and 335i x-drives through some country lanes and B roads!

and most definitely! ordered in Mythos Black and im just waiting for a delivery date so I can get it booked in for privacy glass, light on the fronts and gradually getting darker towards the back... I haven't seen any black FL's about though...

Yeah, I don't think I've seen any black FL either actually. To be honest, I've hardly seen any FL S3's at all, which I'm pleased about. Not like those common Golf R's lol ;)

I've seen 2 Fl's one was a saloon and the other a hatch and the saloon was in yegas yellow and looked unreal - I wouldn't be brave enough to have one in yellow but it looked beautiful to be fair! and I was really close to getting an R! test drove one and enjoyed driving it and also test drove the S3 too, if the offer available for the S3 wasn't there when I ordered it I would have gone for the R!

Now getting it Wednesday, transporter driver needs home on a Friday for his tea. So a drop off in central Scotland on a Friday wouldn't have allowed this lol.
Wasn't prepared to wait till the following Tuesday either.

Probably looking at moving onto status 21 'panel shop' on the 5th in Jan bud
 
should really read back but what is everyones experience in terms of lead time from build week to delivery???
 
@samo26 roughly a month give or take a couple days is a good guide from the day it goes into the panel shop to the day you're sat behind the wheel!

Morning @Davo44 and I've got got Mythos Black! With the way it's going I'm hoping for it to be in transit Monday morning that would be sweet!
 
If we can get a status 30 Monday morning 12/12/16 we've got a good chance of having it before the new year to be honest by the sounds of things

Look at Page 5 & 94 of this thread.
You can tap into Audi's system for your order(s) and get amore detailed build status.
From memory Page 87 (and again more recently) there's a chart showing what all the status codes mean.
Updates every night between midnight and 1am.
Once you start you'll be on it every day!!

Without wanting to depress anyone, mine sat at the port of Emden for 2+ weeks and when you look at the satellite image showing the number of cars waiting, you can see why :anguished:

When you zoom in on Google Maps, white seems very popular!

haha yeh I totally get it mate :) just hoping it gets on a boat quicker lol White is the transport wraps? I used to pass an audi dealership on my way to work and the new cars that had just been delivered had white wraps on them.

Mine still at status 30 and if I'm being honest I'm working on the basis of early Jan, anything earlier would be a very nice bonus!

Yeh I am still thinking Early Jan, but would love it to drive down to the coast for new years eve. If not I'll have to get a train :(

No change on mine ether mate. Still status '38'. Not sure where the african highway is off to, but it looks like it's on the sheerness run. I need a grimsby boat, which i believe left grimsby last night and is due in emden later today. That will be my next chance i believe....

Do they ship over the weekend?
 
Status 70 this morning and a message from the lease company that they are sorting out a delivery date for me,

New member here. Some great info on the forum. Just waiting on an S3 via Select. Order was placed 22/09 but have ended up with a Jan 16th build date :disrelieved: so the wait has been hard! Still at status 10 at the mo. Quick question, has anyone opted to collect their cars? My current lease car was delivered and I wasn't overly happy when it arrived so collection would be preferable for me.

Hey Billy,wish I was as optimistic as you mate.Just hope mine gets out of quality control and on train by next Thursday and I will be happy.
Then just hope the boats are doing there runs to uk between Xmas and new year.Be well happy for second week in Jan for pick up.

I am with select too, I am going to ask for a collection in a hope of speeding up the process and getting the car earlier. I believe they do allow collections from the dealership, so that is my preference for sure, I'll ring them once the car is in the UK for a week or so!
 
Logged into mine today and it is now on Preparation stage even though the build week is 16th Jan. Does that mean that it is going to be built sooner?
