Not yet Chris ill try I tomorrow.

Oh and it had to aircon update done. Asked what it did, supposedly it turns the a/c motor on briefly now and again to stop it seizing up.

Sports mode holds in first and second for way too long after the update.
Can be at 4k rpm and not change gear or be accelerating anymore for a good few seconds.

Only if you drive a automatic. proper drivers have a manual :p

Hydrolic Manual on the track. Automatic around London unless you want one huge leg.
Paddles for some spirited lane driving!

Proper drivers have manual, funniest thing I've heard in a long time is the least I can say!

Us northerns are too scared of the big smoke to warrant an auto.

All these new cars with DSG, paddles etc...doesnt do it for me....where is the fun in taking a car round some country B roads and just pressing the accelerator and clutch? Same on track or on a 1/4 mile.....people rave how well they can do a 1/4 mile in a DSG car....now show your talent and do the same time in a manual motor.

1/4 mile with under X seconds is pretty hard which is why they use auto/semi auto/hydrolic for 1/4 mile down to track even to rally, your basically saying every race driver is talentless purely because they want to shave milliseconds off the time.
Don't agree with you in the slightest to be fair all of the above minus 1/4 mile in auto requires a huge amount of talent to do in any motor.

Feva what do you mean by big smoke?

Hey Mark so happy after the'job'?mine is still running well no issues also I ve seen that I ve got yourself some nice 'presents'They ve forgot to drop some for me but next time maybe

Any updates on the feel of the car, MPG, performance Mark?

Any updates on the feel of the car, MPG, performance Mark?
Read my mind Chris, just finished a week of nights at 0800 and this update was on my list for things to do today.

So all I'm my opinion based on my car and my driving, had it done after Google'ing the s**t out of it and seeing others rolling roads figures.

Car still drives lovely, feels slightly more torquey, notifies to change up gear earlier. Mpg appears no different (just going off dash)

Would I recommend getting it done? It's the individual's choice but based on my experience can't see a reason why not to.

I've been using the car now for 1 week since it's been done, mixed roads, mixed driving speeds, feels great.

I'll pm you my mobile number Chris, I'm off till next Wednesday if your near civilization give me a bell your more than welcome to have a drive and a coffee.

Not much to report

Finally managed to get the car cleaned after all the crap weather we've had.

Had to clean the seat as the kids seem to think they'd rather place their muddy feet on the rear seats.

Seats done, door cards and mats

Cheers for the reply Scottish

I hear you about the dfp most newer cars I've heard can suffer with these and some people are removing them and getting it mapped out.

Struggling at the mo to find one with the look I like. Dark grey twin spoke alloys (no sure what style they are called) and like the blacked out rear windows (although that isn't a problem as would get them tinted if it didn't come with them)

The hunt continues..........

Bought a window chip repair kit. Going to have a try at sorting chip out. I know it won't completely disappear but worth a try. Pics once I get time to do it.

After two days of having my a4 I've got a chip into my windscreen and I ve used Rain x chip repair kit and now after 7 months the chip is still visible but just a bit.. no problems on Mot (passed yesterday) or spreading over my windscreen. Just a tip.. read well the label.

Cheers Adi it only cost me £10 and it seems a pretty good kit. Vacuums the chip then pressurizes it. Monday/Tuesday if the weather's ok.

It's got rid of the crack line, but hasn't spread as much as I'd of liked into the fan (damage) not sure it it's too cold?

Haven't sealed the top so maybe have another go when the temperature warms a bit. Still got enough left for another go.

Hi Mark just give it another go till disappears or at least most of it..you are lucky if I can put tit this way because hasn't spread...I m pretty sure that will go most of it.That kit I have bought was using sunlight for setting the resin in or use a uv light,I don t know if yours requires the same but I think is important as well.

Cheers Adi.
It does use UV rays to cure but think there's not enough resin inside yet.

Definitely have another go.

Had another go at the chip today, tiny tiny bit better but think I didn't put enough resin in for the first go, in future if I did one again I'd load the first go. Loads better than before I touched it.

Didn't go down the repair free with insurance route as I've had nightmares before with a woman opening her car door onto mine, her insurance company dealt direct with bmw, didn't involve mine, yet mine contacted me and logged it as "information only no cost"
Nightmare everytime I've went for renewal elsewhere, have to explain it again and again. Didn't fancy the possibility if having a windscreen repair logged on my history if avoidable.

Had a free repair done years and years ago and it was crap, so thought I'd have a go.

Insurance companies do note windescreen claims on their systems should you ever need to make one, however they do always state that they are not counted as claims when its renewal time, I have had mine replaced and repaired when I had the S3 and it didnt really make a difference to the premium to be fair.

First time driving the audi in snow and sleet. Makes a refreshing change from a bmw, now I can drive in the direction I'm facing

Well after not being able to wash the car for ages (which is not like me once a week at a minimum)
Found it covered in tiny metal particles. So snow foam, fallout remover all over

Snow foam again, then wash and coat of collinite 845 wax (30mins to fully wax car)

Come do mine...Been neglected for 2 weeks :(
Feel your pain Chris as I know you also like a clean motor. Been mega busy at work and currently redoing the main bathroom, the crap I've had in my car lately
Oh and the weather hasn't helped. First dry day I've had time to clean the outside of the car. Next job the inside.

Had plans the last 2 weekends and unfortunately by time get home from work its too dark to do anything. Dont think I remember what the colour white looks like!

So been mega busy fitting my new bathroom lately so the cars been full of alsorts. Been neglecting the cleaning routine of at least a weekly full clean.
After talking to @Chris90 yesterday about the lack of cleaning, finished work early and thought full clean here we come.

Everything cleaned upholstery, mats, carpets all trims. Even got in the boot and fully scrubbed that as well.
Put it away gleaming
Woke up this morning ****** raining!

Garage just dropped it off. It's a pass no advisories

Now I'm 6ft3 the guy who's just dropped it off is the size of Danny devito, and he had the seat right back! How does he reach the pedals?

Well today the wifes a3 black edition 2.0tdi thru a fault for the egr valve. My normal garage cleared the codes and it's (so far driving fine) they gave me a price for fitting a new one and I've enquired at a local place for egr removal and coding out.

Not sure which route to go at the mo if it's goes again.

Sent from my Note 4 using tapatalk

Well cars back in limp mode. Currently at local (recommended) remap place looking at getting it coded out.

We car's back (the wife's a3) top lad Ciaron at http://www.dynoremaps.co.uk

Drives brilliant, fuel reading off dash (I know not fully accurate) going off old figure has already gone up 8-10mpg and the car still shifts.

Very happy.
