just about, right here!
OK so decided to remove my fat 20inch bbs wheels for the winter for a few reasons.
Mainly to protect them from the elements and to protect them in case we get snow and I inevitably ding one off a kerb or such.
I need to use my car regardless of weather, and have to drive up a few notorious streets where cars get stuck so decided to put my baby 18inch wheels back on as the tyres on them are still new, I will replace these for snow tyres next year once I have worn them down a bit lol.
So, the question I ask is, what is the best method for storing my bbs?
I have cleaned them and they are currently taking up the full spare bedroom floor area laid flat as I don't want to stack them unprotected.
I have looked for wheel bags but they are expensive for 265/30/20
I was thinking of getting some carpet or underlay to place between them?
They will be stored indoors, so how does everyone else store there's?

Just stack mines flat on top of each other, with a couple of layers of corrugated cardboard between each wheel, and also label the wheels as to where they came off the car, so they go back on same position

I got myself one of those wheel trees from ebay.
Came from Germany, a little bit rickety on carpet, but it's out the way in the corner of the room and came with a bag to keep the dust off.
It's a bargain for £25

Audi have OEM wheel bags, available from the dealer. If l remember correctly £25 a set.

If your going to stack your wheels, a square of old carpet between wheels is ideal.

I leave my winter/summer wheels with my independent tire dealer, who stores them (wrapped) for me for £30 a year. 4x20" alloys and tires takes up a lot of space....

:racer:

luckily working in a wheel factory i can put mine on a pallet and shrink wrap them, and just hope no one sells them by accident lol

keep thinking about taking the 20s off for winter, but i love them too much

I store spare wheels in the garage. Spray with WD40 to keep the damp at bay and stack'em with layers of cardboard in between. Why make it complicated?
