please help. is this noise from suspension ?????

Please help if anyone can. I have got a4 1.8t s R reg I put new FK coilovers hide & ride adjustment about few months ago. The problem is on a slight bump car making noises from back suspension or somewhere in the back its like klinging(clunking) noise like spring noise. Someone told me its top mount but I have just changed top mounts as well but noise is still there. What else it could be??????????????? Unless the suspension is faulty. I spoke to the person I bought the suspension. He is telling me he sold loads of them but he didn’t have any complain like this in a past. So can anyone help me where this noise coming from & what else it could be apart from suspension. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burningmad.gif
 
car only done 70,000 miles with full service history & well look after. do u think of any think else ? thanks for your help
 
Can't think of anything else mate. If you've done the top mounts and the suspension is new the only thing I can think of is the bush. Unless you disturbed something when fitting the suspension - exhaust etc? highly unlikely though.

I was just about to post a the very same question!!

I my suspension is standard at the moment but when accelerating hard from a standing start it sounds like something clunking in the back!! Strange! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Will be investigating shortly!

Can't really make a judgement call without experiencing the noise dude /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif Are FK alright? Not seen them before.

Best thing to do is take off the struts again and double check they are seated in the cup and top mounts. Get some pics if you can.
 
FK koni it is a good german suspension i dont have no problem wih that apart of the nosie. there is 4 differnt people took suspension out 4 times i think they cant do same mistake again & gain. but i am booking my car on weekend this time i am going to mension bushes & gonna look some more parts near to suspension. thank you for your help.

Oh I didn't realise it was Koni. Should be peachy then. Better than my homemade stuff.

You know it could be the exhaust if you've got a loose rubber and the harder suspension is causing it to knock on something. Know what i'm sayin?
 
I very much doubt my following experience is a solution for your problem but I thought those with suspension problems will read this thread.

I had quite a loud rattle from my car. I could only hear it with window down while travelling over bumps.

Anyway while changing out the rear pads and disks I found a 20mm Dia stone had become lodged into the lower suspension arm. This was the source of the metalic rattle.
 
Hi guys after all that I found the problem. Problem is faulty back suspension /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burningmad.gif
I have to send back that suspension to Germany for refund my money or they change the whole suspension for me. Now I need help from anyone out there who got back suspension lying around somewhere & they are not using it. please please help me
Just for time being so I can send my suspension to Germany & get every thing sorted then I will return that suspension. Or if anyone can advice me how much it’s going to cost me just second hand back suspension???????????
Orrrrrrrrrrr if someone wants to sell there old suspension I will have that.

a4 turbo is your car a quattro? Your profile doesn't mention. I suspect not. If it is, I still have my old S4 suspension you can have for free.

A4 turbo,

I replied to your PM not knowing your car is a front wheel drive A4. I'm afraid the quattro dampers and springs are completly diffrent on the rear.

Sorry for getting your hopes up and I hope you get something sorted /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif.
