Audi S1 or MK7 GTI?

Something to think about if you're in Australia, there aren't that many super sticky tyre options for S1 if you go with the normal 17s or 18s

Both cracking cars there's the new golf gti clubsport coming out soon, early 2016 would that be a compromise between the two.
If you go for the gold get the performance package.

GTi Clubsport, Don't do it, possibly the ugliest car VW have ever produced, it just screams Halfords weekend add-ons.
S1 or Golf R, have had both of them stunning motors S1 for fun factor but it is also very practical, Golf R for being probably the best hatch ever produced you won't be disappointed either way.

you can get golf r for 230 a month lease deals that's why there so many around might be worth looking it to that alot people I know pay around for them. reason went for s1 not many around and unique so rather pay the bit extra through audi for that reason. good luck

I like looking at golf's and that's about it always been an audi fan and will always continue to buy audi .for me vw just aren't as nice across the whole car range audi win hands down .buying a s1 over a gti in my eyes is the right decision. Power means everything and sorry to say it but I only look at gti s in my rear view mirror ................

Traction > power.

You could argue that the GTI could leave you in the twisty national parks, especially with DSG.

I like the S1 because of the short wheel base and small footprint, which means I can enjoy the road more because I can adjust my line.

The buying process at Audi was much more enjoyable than VW.

I think depending on the area, re-selling the S1 would prove to be quite difficult.

S1, great choice unless you had gone for the Golf R which is number 1 in the hot hatch league.
My daughter had the S1, amazing motor tons of traction and a head turner as well.

Enjoy the S1 they don't get much better.
