Hi guys I've got a B7 07 2.0tdi 170 (BRD) code 60k on the clock and I'm having all sorts of problems with it and looking for some help as only had it just over a month and had none stop problems.

The problems I've had are
Underboost/ overboost faults
Camshaft position sensor (g40)
Exhaust gas temp sensor pre turbo (fixed)
Trouble starting and keeping going in the mornings/ cold starts.

Starting with the camshaft position sensor (g40)
As this the one causing me the most agro the car kept cutting out violently as gathering speed in second so plugged it in and found the sensor was failing so I replaced it with one for eurocarparts and seemed to sort the problem and now a week later it's cut out on my 8times on the one trip home from work (22 miles) not cutting out as violently but still cutting out a lot any ideas on this before I go changing the sensor again and hoping for the best??

Underboost/overboost.
I've ran a live data test on this and it's not been hitting the required amount of boost until around 2500rpm which then would come in all at once and then fly but I'm guessing this is a case of pulling the egr system and turbo to clean out system and veins for the turbo?

The trouble starting I was putting down to a mix of maybe the above two but does anyone else have and ideas on things I can check on this side that might also be the problem?

Also is there any other problems I should be aware of or keep an eye out for?

Sorry for the long winded post but though I'd best get as much information down as I can to give you an Idea of what I'm working with.
I'm mechanically minded but not so much on the electrical side as I'm used to mk3 golf's which have no where near the electronic advancement this does so need the help!

Thank you in advance for any help people can offer as I love the car while it works just getting really naffed of with all the problems

I’ve not been impressed with aftermarket engine management sensors. I once tried two in succession from GSF (their Vtech brand and not cheap) and they were both rubbish and the car in question ran terrible until I replaced it with an OE one. Many people have said the same about aftermarket, non OE sensors.

With regard to your turbo/egr query and it possible being "coked-up", I would first stick some cleaner through it and see it things improve. Forte is highly rated in the trade.
