Does anyone know if you can get mudflaps to suit s-line s3 cars ?

Yes, I have a set of fronts to go on as with my winter tyres on, my wing mirrors are getting plastered never mind the side of the car.

Part Number ZGB8V2075102

Available HERE

You can get both front and rear sets. Got the dealer to throw them in when I bought my PFL 8V, but decided not to fit them as I thought they looked too chunky. All down to personal taste.

I was looking to pick up a set but was told by the local dealer they wouldn't fit the facelift S3 (Sportback), for reference the part numbers were ZGB8V2075101 & ZGB8V2075102..

I'm not a huge fan of the looks of mudflaps but think I prefer them to dirt and damage picked up over winter...

Got to say I'm tempted for winter use, the gritters are giving me nightmares.. I've already picked up two stone chips from one and I came to a standstill when he passed :'(

I've decided, when I have my next pointless trip to Audi (got to drive the car somewhere ;) every now and again ;) ) I will see parts and price some up.

I would only have the fronts, I don't notice enough build up on the rear bumper surprisingly to justify he huge rear flaps. I think the fronts are very discrete and I would prefer that for 4/5 months of the year than all of the salt up the side of the car.

I've found that Nano Grey is a dreadful colour for scratches. Really shows up lights swirling and I've been so careful washing, it's had a full detail too.. awful to see on a car 7 weeks old, but there we go :(

well been to my local dealer and they re adamant that the mudflaps wont fit the s3 face lift.

anyone actually got a picture of them fitted?

Thank you

They do fit the facelift, I have them, part number as per post above.
The dealer did say there were no rear flaps for the FL S3.

This is why Carlos avoids going out on winter nights. Nah but seriously that sucks, fortunately my town has signs that tell you they're going to be gritting on that night so you kind of know to avoid them.

Can't offer any advice here but beware, guy at work asked dealer to fit mud flaps to his a3 saloon sport. What a mess ended up costing the dealer a full new bumper as they cut bumper to make them fit!!

Serious? We need that.. it's great!!

I have no choice but to drive at night. Whether I work days or nights, I'm either driving to work for 7pm or driving home at 7pm.

I have a choice between A roads and small roads through little towns, but I know if I take the small roads I will be much closer to a gritter if I had to pass one causing more damage. On the A roads it's higher speed but I can get more space. On this occasion there was traffic, I spaced a good 7-8 metres away from him and came to a standstill.. still found the chips :(

Need to try and find a way around it, because it will ruin the car. Maybe I will try taking the smaller roads and quite literally have a standoff with a driver until they stop and subsequently stop gritting haha!

They'll just increase drag coefficient to your car.

Ah but would they given their location behind the turbulent airflow?? Some create an airflow disturbance that can actually decrease drag

Well after getting fed up with this........

Looks like a success, I couldn't car how they look but a least the car is not getting sand blasted every time I go out, the winter tyres seem to kick up a lot more debris.

@mike price, Part number is ZGB8V2075102 and they do fit a FL S3 no matter what your dealer tells you. :grinning:

I always get edgy that mud flaps will cut into the paintwork (this was known to happen on the previous car I had) so i've always done without. Not a big deal if you keep them on permanently but if you want to take them off for the summer you may find that the paint underneath has been damaged (even if only a little) where the mud flaps have vibrated/pressed against the paint. Least they do the job though!

I used a 3M clear film underneath just in case, but the flaps are made of softish rubber not like the hard plastic ones I had on previous cars.

@Detailer dave, I don't think rear flaps are available for the FL yet.

Funnily enough I may have the opportunity to relocate to my original work location, 0.4 miles away from the house rather than a 12 mile trek.

But, then I can't use the S3 unless I waste mileage in doing loops to get some temperature in the oil not to ruin it. Or I can leave it in the garage and walk, but then I wouldn't have it to hand if I needed to go out driving to another site. Hm, at the moment I'm more keen on the idea of having a commute.

Excellent thanks for the photos! I priced some, something around £53 and discounted they would cost £48... something for payday I think. Spent a few hundred on the car this month somehow, I need to let my budget recover for this month ;)

Did these come with a fitting kit please? Mine will be at the dealer tomorrow, I had the last in stock nationwide apparently.

Did you just put clear film on the contact points? I will order some now.

So part number for front PFL and front FL is same?

Saloon make any difference?

I am tempted... But not sure on the look of them... Hmm

Just a bit in between the flap and the bodywork, the ones for the non S cars actually come with a bit in the fitting kit
The material on the S ones seems to be softer and you probably could do without it.

All clips come with the kit, some drilling required :scared2:, but only into the wheel liner, 3.5mm and 8.5mm

I've got some ordered now, so I won't fit them until I can get it on.

I'm glad it comes with a fitting kit, I'd rather not drill holes :( I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Thanks for all your help, I shall have to make sure I have the right drill sizes haha.

I can confirm that there are new compatible mud flaps for the REAR of the facelift A3/S3, my dealer had to wait for the new redesigned ones to become available and I've had them fitted recently.

I was looking at a set myself but I couldn't help but think that they're a little small and not work that well. I've seen the pictures above @mikemod and they look very promising.
How are they holding up Mike? Are they still doing a good job? Got any more pics?

I actually came across these mudflaps and these are a lot larger I've never had any or used them but I'm assuming larger ones will be more efficient?

Hi guys,

Been lurking here for a while so this is my first post. Just took delivery of an s3 facelift and looking for mudflaps. My street and all surrounding areas are a building site and every time I drive even at 2mph I can hear rocks and **** getting battered off the whole side of the car and judging by the dirt it sometimes looks like I’ve been rallying.

Did anyone have any success with the rear mudflaps? Dealership swears that they don’t make any front or back for the s3 so it was good finding this thread.

I’m assuming the 3 door and 5 door are the same for mudflaps.

I have seen 1 a3 sline that has mudflaps so is the rear bumper the same as s3?

Cheers

Yes, I fitted the front and rears to my S3 Sportback facelift a couple of weeks ago. Assuming you have a Sportback the part numbers are below:

Front: 8V2075102

Rear: 8V4075106A

Theres some cheap ones on ebay at the moment being supplied from dealers. Its cheaper to buy them separately as a full set (front and rear) was around £90 but buying them separately was around £60. The A1 parts will not fit.

I’ve got some fronts available at the house which came off of my S3, will sell for £20 posted as they need a fitting kit... cost me around £50 I think for the pair.

I have them all round and think they do a good job of keeping S**T of the car. Doesn't help having spacers on but I like the look of it with mud flaps.
