Best place to obtain touch up paint?

Hi all

Looking for best place to obtain some touch up paint for Sepang

Not looking at doing loads of chips (as there isn't many), mainly just for keeping on top of them as they appear

Is chipex good for that? Or after purchase, does it need to be used within a certain amount of time?

Best just getting a stick from Audi?

What are your thoughts? Thanks!
 
I would say a stick from Audi for definite, rather than an outside source just matching up. With Audi, it will be right.
 
Not sure the best but for sure don't go to Halfords! They made me up a small touch up stick in Monsoon Grey that was way too dark. Even after drying it didn't look right. went and bought one from Audi and was perfect. I would recommend that. Things like paint aren't worth messing around with.
 
True, I hear what you're both saying

Just that the Chipex brand is also well known... I'm just a bit unsure on if it is 'overkill' and will go off / dry out if I don't use it soon after delivery

Hmmm decisions
 
Audi parts depo mate comes with a lacquer stick as well, it will suffice for now, but you'll need chipex further down the line.... grrrrrrrr

You can get a touch up stick from mike in parts request system.

I like it, really brings it up to date.. well done. The snow is a brilliant touch, hadn't been in the Christmas spirit till my most visited website joined in on the vibe today ;)

I got a touch up kit from ebay from Strafford audi page so is genuine. Comes with base (paint) and clear coat. Not looking forward to the effort going to have to go through to get it looking seemless!!
