Hi All,

I have the A4 Avant Quattro B8 2.0TDI (170) MY2010 Manual

I've started getting a judder in 1st then a slip when I floor it in 4th/5th.....the slip is easily avoidable but the judder in 1st is persistent to the point of being annoying - especially if I'm pulling away sharpish from a t-junction!

I have a CRD-UK box on it which I've had on various settings and is now on on a less aggressive setting which suits me and has stopped throwing on the engine light. It has 69000 miles and I can't see that it's had a new clutch before, I've owned it for 18 months from 55k miles. My daily drive is 50 miles but is cross country so lots of stopping/starting and working the gears.

My assumption is clutch and flywheel required which for a Quattro would be £900+ just for the clutch with Audi and I suspect a bunch more for the flywheel also.

Soooo...I'll get a better deal at my local Indy as out of warranty and they just did a good job on the timing belt and water pump. Any recommendations for parts......is there a slightly uprated clutch I should go for to make it bullet proof?

Any thoughts appreciated.....

Cheers
N
