I'm considering swapping my A3 for a new A4 Ultra S Line saloon.

Could anyone tell me though, does the standard none tech pack A4 have the ability to show the vehicle speed in the driver information system and does it also have the Audi connect services as in the A3?

Yes, from what I can gather from the manual.

Yes to both, you can get more information on the a4 dis then on the a3...

Well happy to say I've ordered an A4 Ultra S Line in daytona with privacy glass B&O and high beam assist. Considered VC but couldn't justify the extra £2000.

Delivery March 1, can't wait!!

You will love it my friend. I have just come from an A3 saloon up to an A4 saloon and its a nice step up.

Does the screen slide in and out of the dash like the A3?

The screen may not lower but it seems less intrusive IMO.
 
I switch mine off at night as I find it a bit of a distraction. During the day it doesn't notice so much. In my A3 I thought the screen disappearing into the dash was a great novelty at first, but then I worried that long term it would be just my luck for it to stop working one day and get stuck inside or something. At least with the A4, the screen can't get stuck inside the dash.

Yeah, I've never drove with the screen stowed away on my A3. I really like it.

Do the radio logos appear on none tech pack A4s? I had a face lift A3 the other day that did show them and that didn't have the technology pack. My pre facelift 8V A3 has never shown radio logos.

I don't have the TP, and dont get radio logos.
 
I have the tech pack and do get logos, most of the time.. it seems a bit random as to when I do/dont. Signal strength?
 
I don't get logos. Not got tech pack. MY16. Raised with Audi UK, and dealer. None know what the problem is, but they should be there. No defects and no pending software updates either.

Its not a signal thing, as my wife's Golf has had the logos on hers since day 1.

Think we've just got duff MMIs, but not duff enough to replace.

Mine is also MY16- built January 2016.
 
I only get the logos on BBC stations (tech pack)
 
I get the Radio 6 logo, the only station I will ever listen too. No stupid jingles or commercials..
 
Really, I think any chat is at least more interesting than on radio one or any commercial station and shorter, plus they will play the whole of a track. You should try radio 2 in the morning, can't stand chris evans at the best of times even though he is a petrol head.
