Hi all. Just recently I've noticed my mpg seems to be down on what I'd consider typical 30 or just above mpg. I'm averaging 25 but the miles remain and mpg both seem to be a lot more inconsistent than it usually should be.

Car doesn't seem to be down on power and the dash is fault free. A recent service and a tyre refil to nitrogen is all I've done. I've read that a failing lambda sensor can throw a bad fuel/ oxygen mix together.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Chris

Coolant temp sensor & MAF would be my first suspects, both of which can be faulty without triggering the EML. Only way to really tell is to get VCDS plugged in & have a look for fault codes & see what the ECU is getting from the engine sensors in measuring blocks.
Have look in the VCDS forum for a member near you.
