I have a few questions regarding keyless on my 2014 s3 i purchased last month

1. Should every door handle on a 5 door s3 unlock and lock keyless ?
i am only finding the front doors and bootlid work with keyless and not the back rear doors is that normal?

2. If the keyfob battery dies how can i enter the car and start it?
i cant see any ignition key hole on my steering rack apart from start button but lets say i am far from home and battery dies and all shops are closed so i cannot buy a replacement battery, is there a hidden place where the ignition slot is so can use the actual key on the fob to start it or am i screwed and will need AA/RAC to help me?

3. What type of battery do we need?

Thank you in advance for your time

1. The handles on the back doors do not work on any audi as far as I know, you can see they have the sensor but it is useless.

2. That is a good question I don't think there is any secret ignition, so try to keep your battery charged.

3. You can find the type of battery with a quick Google search. (CR2032) if I am not mistaken that is the type

2. You can hold the key down beside the steering column, after you have manually entered the car with the physical key:

1. Only the front doors and tailgate. On My B8 S4 all four plus the boot had sensors. I complained to Audi UK when I bought my S3 as it was not made clear in the brochure. They just pointed to the disclaimer.

So you can't lock or unlock from the back doors even tho they have the sensors on the handles? That really surprises me! (I have a 3 door).

They don't have the sensors, only the same shape. Saves having to manufacture 2 different door handle shapes...

The answer to the other questions is found easily in the manual, but I see someone has pasted a screenshot from it. I've just changed the battery in mine (2nd time). You get plenty of warning and the key is easy to open and check anyway.

yes thats correct , the rear door handles have the shape of the sensors but thought they wasnt working until people saying it only the fron doors and boot lid :( theres so many times i need to go to the rear first then remember i need to pull the front door handle first in order to unlock rear doors or pull out the keys which both are proper annoying
AUDI SORT THAT OUT!!! whats the point in paying extra for 5 door & keyless and only getting 3

Don't have to pull the front handles, just slide your hand behind one for a split second, pretty simple and effortless imho.
