So did anyone who owns an A3/S3(8V) watch it?

I thought it was boring in places!

Yes, I did. It made me smile to see the 3 boys back together, especially the scene with the 3 mustangs pulling up parallel. (Huge Top Gear fan)

But I agree, some parts could have been better, it's strange thinking it isn't Top Gear, I waited for the theme tune at the end..

I have every faith that it won't disappoint :D

Actually fell asleep for five minutes in the middle..That could be because of my age though...lol
From what has been said in paper reviews it does get better later in the series? Will have to wait and see.
Either way Amazon got £79 off me..:hopelessness:

Amazon had an offer until 18th November, £20 off so £59 which was what I paid!

I liked it, I think it has potential and was different enough but similar enough to make it watchable.

I got 3 months free for being a student, £5.99 a month after that :O

Up until yesterday Amazon had a deal on, £59 for the year.. I couldn't bring myself to part with a tank of fuel up front ;)

I was expecting something better than Evans managed, and I wasn't disappointed. Admittedly I'd set the bar very low...

Apart from slightly overdoing the cheese to suit the American market, and the fact that it appears that Clarkson, May, Hammond and Porter are a little rusty and out of practice with writing and delivering the studio lines, it was very very good, and those things will get better.

The photography is superb and the direction of the movie clips is still good. They milked the HyperCar segment a bit too long, but for a first stab it was way better then their first crack at top gear in 2002, and infinitely more watchable than the four-eyed shouty ginger bloke.

I used my sisters Uni Account and got 6months free Amazon Prime and then £39 for the year after the 6month trial. So 18months for £39. shouldn't you have got this?

For those who don't know, you can buy Amazon Prime monthly now. think its £7.99. and you can cancel anytime. But with xmas coming up and the offer of Amazon Delivery & Now, Music and Video i think its a great great service.

I quite liked the show, still a bit too staged to be funny though in some parts.

It was pretty dull really, but then the last few series of Top Gear were as well. Hopefully it'll get better, they previewed some good looking stuff.

I haven't seen that offer, maybe it will prompt me when my trial ends.. I will definitely take up the £39, thanks!!

I can't stand Clarkson so happy to not be watching.

I may be a lone voice but I liked the Top Gear series with CE and MB.

I'm sure it probably came up, but I probably didn't pay much attention. I know that I have I subscribed after the trial at the moment, I will subscribe later on tonight as it's a bit of a bargain at £39.99.

It's good being a student at times, get some good deals. I get unlimited downloads of Microsoft Office :D In McDonalds, you get a free cheeseburger or McFlurry :)

You don't need Amazon Prime to watch it. Go to Putlocker and watch it for nowt!! Job done.

Two threads running on this topic as well.

It was superb. Better than any single episode of TG. Still take some to beat the Specials but it was a great start. Love the fact they are off the BBC hooks and can say what they pretty much want. More of the same please.

It is great! Apple Music is reduced from £9.99 to £4.99.

It's quite easy to get it too, little verification needed.

You can order off the Apple Student website without any verification :D So anyone can, if you can find the web address. I think I had something in the region of £200-£300 discounted from my iMac.

Loved it!

Sentimental and bombastic intro, car driving scenes in class with the best top gear episodes and good studio humor...

Perhaps they are more popular outside UK these days... :D

And still the only car show that missus like hehe...

I think you're in a fairly exclusive club there!

The biggest problem the program has are the three presenters.

I much prefer watching Chris Harris.

The reason New Top Gear flopped was because Clarkson, Hammond and May weren't there. The very reason The Grand Tour will and is brilliant. The on screen chemistry can't be bottled. It's three great pals doing something they love. Simple formula brilliantly executed.

This is a joke, right? :haudrauf::tearsofjoy:

No joke.
I'll watch the series as it will contain great imagery and great cars, but the dumbed down brand these three provide is very long in the tooth now for me.

For a car review and proper reasoned commentary on how they drive, Chris Harris is the guy that does it better than anyone.

Simple is the right word.

I watched it on Amazon Video and thought it was very good.
I also noticed its already on Kodi if you happen to use it.

I thought it was brilliant.
One billion times better than Top gear with Chris Evans.
I still like Chris Harris.
I don't have a Kodi box so will happily pay to watch it as it was that good.

I agree Chris Harris is very strong on car reviews.

Top Gear / the Grand Tour is a load of fun really.. it's the 3 of them, characters, doing 'different' things to make us laugh.

I thought it was a bigger budget version of TG.
I also thought they would of got Ben Collins as the racing driver, overall it's an entertainment programme that has some nice cars and three middle aged blokes who take the **** outta each other in the process.

Chris Harris is an informative car reviewer.

I fell asleep within five minutes of it starting. That could because I'd been down the pub, though. Or my age. Or both...

Anyone remember Jason Dawe on Top Gear of old?
And Used Car Roadshow.

It's free on the kodi box, exodus has it.
I thought it was really good and looking forward to the next one

I found it very good and can only get better! A bit cheesy for the yanks at times but hey I'm sure they had to play along with their new masters wishes!
