I have a 2012 S3 with rns-e that has the crazy rising volume fault that is apparently caused by the Bluetooth microphone.
I have had the interior light off, and there's a few microphone looking thingys in there, I think it's the rectangular shaped part that is the faulty component?
What is the part number of the mic I need to replace?

unless you rewire your rnse it stays. I believe you have the upgraded microphone. its audiopilot. you can turn off gala but that is for road noise

Ah right, it's not audio pilot that is annoying me in general, it's when I first start the car and the volume turns it's self up way too high, so I turn it down then it turns up again!
after that it works fine....
I thought I had read a post on here somewhere that the upgraded mic fixes this?

Check your mic part number 1st.

part number on my mic is - 8L2 862 373 A
also says - 120027 04S (1)
is that the upgraded version?
