Have tested the revised intake pipe, extending the pipe a wee bit before the MAF at the same diameter, and I can also report good things.
I've gone from -0.8 @ idle and +10.9 long Term......

Mines now done 450 miles and has settled at 5.1 and the car seems to have benefitted from it.

Any issues with these to date ? Getting a shark remap at end of month and am thinking of adding one of these in blue before hand any thing I need to know ? What price are they now ? Is yer man still doing them ?

So basically you've added a thinner piece of pipping before the MAF? I might do the same mod on ITG kit as it is currently sat at 12.1% on the 2nd install, the first settled 10.3% so it seems like just the positioning off the piping makes a difference making me think your mod could get me a lot closer to 0%

good job guys, I'd personally to to the mtc distributor as he could've done a new revision with a revised pipe, who knows
I'll be doing this mod as soon as possible then because that looks like a good return for it... I'm gonna get dash command at the start of next month so I can check values before and after tho... And i'll report back on the thread!

Ok, so I'm about to do this mod, but I was wondering if someone could confirm how to reset the fuel trims with VCDS first?

Would it be worth while looking into this without having a MTC induction kit? Or would I be wasting my time? Thanks.
No worries, I found out that if you clear all fault codes, it resets the fuel trims anyway.
Just a waiting game now to see how it performs!

I may have one of these for sale as the insurance have just written my car off 
, it's been on the car about 10month so it's only done about 850 mile at a push. It's fitted with an ITG filter and the extended bit just before the maf, if I don't get another S3 then I'll let people know if it's up for grabs.

2 'ish months on from my last reading.
Finally reached perfection
That extra bit of pipe has worked like an absolute dream.
Doesn't get any better than 0!! Intake is absolutely spot on.

I'm well chuffed to be honest.
Great value, even when you add on £15 or whatever it was for the extra couple of inches of pipe.
And the result being perfection puts the cherry on the bakewell.
Not sure there's actually an after market kit out there that's has brought back '0' long term fuel trim values?
My engine is clearly running at optimum mixture now, and to be honest it feels like it.
I'd buy it again that's for sure, and I cannot recommend it enough.

I challenge another aftermarket intake to meet perfection also. No proof? Don't bother piping up - excuse the punn!!

I'm sure it'll settle, perhaps some new plugs may help her out.
I checked it again tonight and it was 6.2%.... Short term never seems to go above 3.1% when monitoring it, that why i'm wondering why it hadn't brought it down.... I'll try new plugs and see if it makes a difference... Its weird tho, car seems to he running sweet as a nut!?

Only other thing is that the MAF might be a bit tired of life?
I'm unsure of your ECU content at present, but if mapped then obviously this could play are large factor.
