Hi All,

Current owner of an Audi S1, but really want to get into an S tronic S3.

After looking around 3-4 months ago there was some stonking lease deals (circa £250-£300pcm) for the S3 but they seem to have disappeared now (select car leasing/contract hire & leasing) and are well above £350 and that's before you include annual mileage of 10k/15k. I do around 12k a year.

Has anyone taken out any cracking deals of late for an S tronic S3? (flexible on shape, prefer sportback).Has Brexit possibly caused an increase in discounts and prices?
If anyone is aware of any deals please let me know!!!
Thanks
Ben

I ordered mine on September 19th.

9 months up front
2 years @ 245pm
10k mileage.

Like you say they have gone up a fair bit since then.

Ordered mine through Select on 28th Sept, the day before additional support was being withdrawn.

Sportback stronic bog standard spec in Ibis white. £346 inc VAT and maintenance 3+23 10k mpa. Had been slightly cheaper 2weeks earlier though, but it is now at £457 without maintenance for the same terms!

Happy with what I'm paying and so is the wife, result.

Due for build 21st Nov, so here's hoping it's here for Xmas

Interesting with the link however no mention on how many miles. :frown:

Think you got them deals at a good time! Seems Brexit has affected lease prices.

Am I right to believe leasing is usually cheaper than PCP? I don't plan to own the car longer than 3 years so hire purchase isn't really an option for me.

I think with leasing you really are committed to the length of the agreement, and the only way out is to clear off the payments entirely, if you want to end it early. I think leases are usually a bit cheaper, and less deposit up front. I just don't like the idea, as you will never own the car outright and really do need to look after it.

What makes you want to change from the S1...? Always had a soft spot for the S1 myself!

Its also cheap if you want the standard options, but as soon as you start adding extras the price gets very similar to PCP.

While you should budget for the full amount, you typically will get a bit back on a PCP too, so the amount you pay overall can be reduced slightly. For example, I put £6k down and pay £381 a month on my BE S5 with about £1400 worth of options. Compared to a lease, it seems like my deposit is high, but monthlies are about the same. However, I have had offers for my S5 in trade in of £3k, so when you think my PCP is the equivalent to £3k down and £381 a month, it suddenly doesn't seem that bad...and as above, I have the flexibility to trade in my car whenever I like or even buy it and save a shed load on interest costs if I so please.

I am itching for another Auto. The S1 is a fun car no doubt but is a manual only sadly and I would prefer something a little bigger.
