I have changed oil, oil filter etc on my 2010 audi A3 sline, but cannot get the service spanner and service indicators to reset. I have tried the utube reset suggestions to no avail ...can anyone help me as to the procedure or reset sequence??? it doesnt seem to be there when you search? someone must know?? Or do I have to take it to audi to have it reset???

  1. Start with key in but Ignition OFF.
  2. Press and hold both buttons on the instrument cluster.
  3. Turn Ignition ON.
  4. Keep holding both buttons until the display changes from "InSP" flashing, to "- - - -"
  5. Release the buttons.
  6. Turn Ignition OFF.
  7. Turn Ignition back ON to confirm.

Your 2010 car will have the UDS instrument cluster. To reset the UDS cluster you will need vcds or similar.

There are 5 adaptions that need to be made in Module 17 - Instruments

Vcds option:

With the ignition on.
click on address '17-Instruments' and then select 'ADAPTATION'

Go to the 'CHANNEL' box and change the number in it to '40'. Click on 'READ' then in the 'VALUES' box, change the value to '0'. Click 'TEST' and then 'SAVE'. A box will appear to ask you if you are sure, click 'YES'

Carry out this same procedure for the following channels, AND IN THIS ORDER;
40, 41, 53, 55, 02.

This is the only thing that worked on my '09 S3. The SRI reset function in vcds as some advise using did not work.

Check the vcds user map, there may be someone local to you who can help you out for beer tokens.
