My usual retort to that is "sure, if your willing to pay me", of which some of my neighbours actually were.
I get all of the above from my neighbors, BUT they always comment after how good it looks.

I just look at the heap they're standing beside and reply politely, "You reap what you sow".

l only get compliments well the car does....lol and its always from females passing by the driveway walking there dogs
l get that type of **** from my mums next door neighbour when l clean my car over at her house but he's just got jealousy pouring out of his pores......A just say.....Aye......might do

never get it as I wash my car out of the way of people, in peace
but I get plenty people saying it to me as im a paint/decorator
Never said that to a painter before, usually only along the lines of “you’ve got paint on my ******* window, door handles, sockets, floor” (I seem to attract cowboys p&d’s)

never get it from customers, just people walking past if im doing a shop front etc......
or another good one, "is that what colour its going to be"......."no chief, im just doing it white because they wanted grey"
unfortunately their are plenty of them about, we're after a couple more lads ideally but there just doesn't seem to be any p/ds about
