yourAudi - Track New Car Order

has anyone else had a long wait on status 30? mine has been on that since the 20th - thanks

Yeah, pretty sure it was when the ship was sailing.

Should be some point today for departure from Emden to Tyne, therefore ours would update overnight assuming it's on that ship of course (please let it be on that ship!).

Woo Hoo! 13:00 hrs departure to Tyne.
I'll be so gutted if mine (and the wifes and @Darroch motors) aren't on it as there's no other ship on this route for a wee while.

It's moving!! :D ... at a steady 12.3 knots.

I was at 30 for 6 days recently - then 38 for over 3 weeks ;)
doh! hope mine isn't one that takes that long although it isn't looking good. I would rather that than it going missing though lol

It's in open sea now due to dock at Tyne Port 2pm UK time tomorrow.
I also see that City of Amsterdam sails from Emden to Tyne, docking on 30/10/16 @ 00:00 hrs for any of us who's cars don't arrive on City of Sunderland

You'll know tomorrow when the tracker updates whether you're on board the C of S!!

I wouldn't mind but there is massive over capacity in freight ships around the workd and Audi can't get cars on ships for weeks.

I feel your pain, I thought my car was on the African Highway to be dropped off in Sheerness, but is still listed as "on its way to the UK" so they must have forgotten to unload it and it's on its way to Grimsby following a round trip to Emden.

I'm sure yours is safe and sound in Sheerness just that the tracker hasn't updated yet.

My process seemed like it was going swimmingly until it missed the African Highway last week.

I had a run planned next weekend to get some mileage under its belt, that seems unrealistic now.

Yes I think you are right, I had an email from the dealer today confirming the car had arrived and was being dispatched to Portsmouth. One more ferry ride and a hopeful collection before the end of the month.

Galf, not sure why yours missed the Highway on Sat, hopefully it will be on the next one?

8 days at UK port...and finally....

:rage: Your dealer might be able to give you a hint on this. Mine didn't know for sure but guessed either one ship or the next.

Well that's a surprise. YourAudi is now saying mine is on its way to the UK. I had assumed my turn would come once African Highway made its next journey from Emden!

Great news. I do wonder what vessel it has made it on to. Maybe next weekend might be a possibility after all.

Great news for you too Blatchy!

Status 39, I'm glad to finally see you!

Gran Canaria Car left Emden at 20:49 yesterday with an expected Sheerness arrival at 18:00 today. I think I have found it. I had wondered for a moment if it had made its way onto a vessel up north due to the extended wait at Emden. Seems not.

The dealer is just back from annual leave so she said she would be updating me today. Hopefully she knows more than i do about what ship it will be on.

Mine not updated either mate so might be 30th for Tyne too.
My wifes TT seems to be on City of Sunderland as her status was updated last night.
Ship is approaching Tyne as we speak too!

I swear this car is cursed.

First I go down on Sunday to sign, but Audi's finance systems are down. Now I've gone to collect the car at my handover time (13:00) and the governments "First Registration" service is down (and apparently has been for two days), so they can't tax my car (and ultimately can't do the handover).

Annoyed that I got no call about this, given the issue was clearly known about!

Not in this stupid day and age where everything is now handled by computer, no, apparently not. You can still re-tax a car using the post office, but you have to use AFRL (Automated First Registration and Licensing) to handle new registrations :(

Ah well that will mean two separate pick ups from the dealer!

My dealer responded with no more information than I already know. I think there's a high likelihood our cars will be on the 30th Nov ship :)

Me too. That was under 3 weeks from start to finish.
It seems that it's ready for collection. I can't believe how quick this has all been. It seems that everyone else has waited for ages.
Anyway, I told them to keep it until the 18th as the R doesn't go back until then.

Dealer has put me into a 250 mile old TTS to "keep my happy". Have to say, it's a good laugh to drive, hope it doesn't make my S3 feel a bit dull and imprecise!

Ooo, I really liked the TTS when I drove it - but you get the S3 for the practicality it brings with its boot, doors and rear seats.....

....I kept telling myself...

Pick up after some to-img and fro-img lined up for this weekend.

Just out of interest for anyone whose not bought through Audi Finance and therefore financed through bank etc have you had to pay in full day or so pre-collection? They don't accept debit cards payments anymore due to charges on the day

I will do, once daylight hits again. As with a few others, mine appears to be missing the "Audi Beam", the dealer is on it though.
