Having retro-fitted a set of Passat 'fan type' washer jets to my old A3 I was wondering if the same can be done for the A6??

Tried a search but haven't found anything

I still can't believe Audi use the triple jet system!!

Cheers

2006+ Passat fan jets appear to fit A4, A5, b8 & b8.5, there's a thread in A4 B8 section, you'll have to search for it though, this is on my to do list.
Don't see why they wouldn't fit A6, I've also heard/read somewhere that the A8's have fan jets and they also fit, again you'll need to confirm this.
Hope this helps.

Yeah they fitted my A3 and looks like they fit every other Audi model so why don't they fit them as standard.....

Wish I'd taken them off the A3 now lol

How much are they? Wouldn't mind fitting some to my S3.

Yeh agree that Audi should fit them as standard, if you manage to source them, will you post the link for me.
Cheers

My 2015 FL car has fan jets with an added jet on the outside edge. Works much better than the jets on the pre-FL car

ive done one side on the S3 , think I got TT ones. still got the passenger one to do which requires me to lengthen the wires on the new unit. Only problem is the way I had to fix them they are not adjustable

Does the fan washer part have two holes as apposed to three on the jet washer?

edit - info found!

Found the thread in the B8 section

http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/washer-jet-upgrade.237988/

Would be awesome though if we can get the numbers for actual factory fit ones!

Found part numbers for a 2013 model using the thread at the top
4g8955987/ and 4G8955988

Thats for the heated versions

Found this on A5OC..........
heated fan washer jets to fit A5, may fit other models
Audi A8 2014 -
4HO 955 987B
4HO 955 988B
£22 + vat

I've had an original C7 and now have the FL model and never noticed the difference!

Got a mate in Bath Audi and he got me these numbers,....

Ok n/s is 4G0955987A and o/s is with 988A on the end. £9.61 inc vat each....

They are heated versions but his parts guy seems to think they all are on the FL versions

Going to pop into my local dealer tomorrow and confirm those numbers and prices :)

Just as an extra note my mate will double check they are the fan versions but he did use the reg number off a 65 plate loan car they have at the dealership :)

Apologies to revive and old thread - Is there any way to adjust the spray direction, the drivers side is almost missing the screen?

Had a proddle about and not seemed to make any diffrence

Easier to do if you unclip the jet from the underside of the bonnet make an adjustment and then clip it back on. Bit of a pain having to keep unlocking the bonnet but takes less time than trying to work out where the hole is in the jet when it is in situ

Thanks Chaps, had already tried the needle with no joy. My short distance eyesight is shocking - so took a picture on the phone.

It is just the highlighted square plug, there is a torx screw next to it, it doesn't look like there is any adjustment at all.

There are two jets, from the centre and then the lower right hand corner.

Looking at the picture now, I realise that you could have probably spotted the part without the highlighting in red !!

My 65 plate Allroad (FL) has the combi fan/jet washers, they work a treat. Currently in Rome but when I get back this afternoon I'll have a try and get a picture/video of the effect they provide.

So I couldn't see a part number but the combination jets on the FL A6 but this is what they look like...

And this is what they preform like... Though while moving it is more effective as I thing the airflow forces all the droplets into the screen and not the roof as is the case while stationary...

Thanks for the video - mine are the same, the lower jet on mine appears to go further out to the edge of the screen - hence my frustration at not being able to adjust them - more washer fluid misses the screen rather than hits it.

Yes it doesn't look like there is an adjustment on the jets fir these combi washers. Maybe they put your washers the wrong way around (Left on the right side)... Is that even possible I don't know. Ill have a closer look tomorrow sometime if the weather permits.

Jakes2514 - they do have a 'R' and 'L' on them which are on the correct side looking from the driving position, I wonder whether they would work better if reversed though?

Confused.com

I finally had a response from Cardiff Audi who say they are NOT the fan style washer jets despite the picture on their advert!!

Crewe Audi say they are from a 2015 on wards A6 which fits in with what others have said, except my mate who used to work at Bath Audi lol
