Just got car back from garage and drivers window opens but wont engage into courtesy mode and you have to keep finger on button. I have gone into the car settings and then Windows and turned courtesy mode off then back on again hoping it would sort problem but no joy. All other Windows will open with one touch except drivers. Anyone have any ideas? Many thanks.

You may need to reset the open and close points, my A3 used to do the same. I think it's down to a weak motor but I just put up with it and reset it every few months when it happened.
If the procedure is same as the A3 8P then roll the window all the way down and then hold the button in the down position for a couple of seconds then roll it all the way back up and hold the button up for a couple of seconds too. It should then go back to one touch open.

Glad you got it sorted. :rockwoot:

Cheers for the compliment, it's no S4 but I only do diesels, I think setting up carbs on old minis put me off petrols for life! :sob: Once I've got the wheels sorted I'll be pretty much happy with the external mods for now. Then we might start to get a bit silly with the engine mods, it's a slippery slope haha.

Just got mine back from transmission specialist, had 2 new clutches, new dmf and mechatronic unit! Luckily I had aftermarket warranty that paid for everything :racer:

Keep noticing that the window doesn't seem to be as airtight as it used to be and can hear a slight wind noise which is slightly irritating in a perfectly quiet car!!! The only things I really like to hear in my car is the engine and exhaust :p do you know of any other way to sort it? Can vcds override and push it all the way up to the max?

Sounds like your window might have skipped a tooth on the motor or something? If you wind the window all the way down does the motor try to pull the window further than it should or make any strange noises? I'm not 100% on how the windows run on these but it's a quick job to pull the door card off and have a look for anything obvious.

Doesn't seem to just bugging me this slight not completely shut feeling when I'm driving along I'm sure I can hear it and never have before as it's usually completely sound proof inside. Anyway will get my mate to have a look at the weekend when he puts it on the diagnostic and throws in my new aFe pro dry drop in filter ;) cheers mate
