To those lucky people who have taken delivery of their new A4, what brand of tyres have been fitted?

I think it might change according to the wheel size, on maui's new car they were Hankook's...

On my sport I got Michelin Primacys

Like it's fellow Korean Kumho , Hankooks offer no rim protection , there's better tyres out there than the S1 Evo 2 .

I've got Bridgestones on my s line. They last a long time but they aren't the smoothest riding or best for road noise out there so I'll be looking to swap them for good year eagle f1 assymetric 3 in the future.

I agree about the road noise, but the A4 is such a well insulated car that it's not intrusive, unlike my A3 which had Continental Contisport Contact 5s.

On our Sport we've Michelin Primacy 3 I believe, wheels are the standard 17's, all the S-Line's I've seen have sported Bridgestone.

Mine lip over the rim, so there is some protection on the Hankooks - however it's no something I'd put my trust into!

Mine came on Pirelli Cinturato's, looks like I'm the only one with them here!? Standard S-Line 18" 5-twin-spokes.

They're not great in the damp when pulling away, but that's perhaps the power of the car and a lack of Quattro.

I got the same Pirelli's on mine. Mine have only lost traction once but that was down to me , too much throttle!

I've discussed with my dealer today and I'm afraid they don't offer a choice of tyres on new cars as it is dependent on who the factory have an agreement with at the time of production.

What car do you have?

A4 S line 3.0 TDI quattro. 2008
No idea what it had from new but I bought it with Michelin fitted.... All four new six months ago, going by the bill and receipt which came with the car's history. They all look like they could have been new last week too

Just my opinion but I personally wouldn't touch Hankook boots.. Notorious for blow outs.... No warning, no slow deflation, just a bang and a shredded tyre.

B9's come with Hankook now rather than the Continentals in previous models.

I have the optional 19's and they are fitted with the S2's that have big rim protectors.

I wouldn't touch Hankooks either. Not on safety grounds, but on previous experience of having them fitted to a Corsa. Although they performed OK, they wore out in no time.

Conti's lasted less than 7k on my mondeo, hankooks are now considered amongst the tyre companies, such as continental, as a mid range competitor. They have upped their game...

Well I must admit that it was a good few years ago that I had the experience of the Hankooks on the Corsa. 2008-ish, possibly.

MY2016 190 TDI S LINE. Standard wheels, 18's I think. Bridgestones.

Snap! Pirelli Cinturato's supplied on my B9 2.0 190 TDi S-Line. Standard 18" alloys. Mine are also not great in the damp, as it can fairly easily wheelspin when pulling away from a junction, even if I feather the throttle.

Continental are Premium but fail to impress long-term .

Perhaps the Sport Contact 6 is better ?

There's nothing in the world that would make me buy a Korean tyre or a touring tyre .

For me there is only 3 Premium makes I would entertain .

Interesting, I thought they were Japanese rather than Korean! I'll see how they do, but I don't get a choice on tyres anyhow - the lease company gets the final word on that... personally Michelins have done me well over the years! In my car modding days I used Toyo's which I really liked

Hankook are also exclusive tyre suppliers for DTM, which is where the premium german automobile manufacturers compete but they are south korean, where many manufacturers are located. That and china...

Conti Contact Sport here. That is the only brand ive ever had on all my previous cars.

I wonder if it's worth considering Michelin Pilot Sport 4 245/40/18 97Y when it comes time to change them. They're the wrong load rating, but it's a higher rating rather than a lower one so in theory it should be okay?

Odd. I have these on my B8.5 S4 and have had no wheelspin at all. They work fine wet or dry. Mine are the A0 variant though never sure if it matters.

Go for it , supreme tyre , higher load rating better than a lower one .

A very good tyre by all accounts, I had ps3's on my focus and couldn't fault them...
