Got some chemical guys after wash and some lights, to be specific;

a Twin adjustable 1000W site lights with a stand,

and

a portable 400W halogen lamp (floor standing)

My wife genuinely thinks i am mad, but it's starting to get to me that i have to down tools at 5:30 now, and you can use the lights for swirl spotting too so bonus, that and the fact i claimed the lights were for DIY too...

Just bought some Bilberry wheel cleaner, because I hate cleaning the alloys ! lol

Loew and cornell fine line painter, for filling stone chips.
Clarke 2.5 ton Trolley jack
Incredibrush,
karcher K4 (my ancient k2 just died)
Hand held leaf blower
Lots and lots of microfibre cloths and towels soft, medium and thick piles (these are the things you can literally never have too many of)
Large rubber mat (for placing wheels on)
Some paint leveller/thinner
Lint free clothes
Inspection gloves
Thin plastic sheets
Long razor
Medium clay,
Mechanics stool
Torque wrench
Wheel nut socket set
Ammo wheel regimen
Ammo paint regimen (I have been after trying ammo products for a while, and have drawn to the conclusion i'll nver get them from a UK disti, so i ordered them from Ammo directly, which is what i should of done months ago...)
3M Bondo+ scrapers
Black nitrile gloves
And various colour matched paint with laquer, it seems that the most popular thing I do at the moment is stone chip repair...
And a hook and loop soft brush for my polisher (for leather and carpets etc...)
3 inch polisher backing plate.

I have been detailing one car a weekend for a while now, which i am basically doing for the cost of the products.

I have a black mini to sort this weekend coming, with the worst stone chip mark (more a gouge) i have ever seen which has gone down to the metal and its rusted... I'll be killing then dremelling the rust out, filling the hole with Bondo, applying basecoast then colour, then colour with laquer, then wet sanding, and finally 2 stage polish to remove the sanding marks...

Curiosity got the better of me, and I ordered some of these. They seem to get a great write up, so just hope they are worth it! I hate MF cloths that don't do a job.

@SPIKE_S1 - My first batch of these has lasted me around 3 years. I still have around 10 that are decent left. Keep finding ones the wife has stolen, but she won't be finding any of the new ones lol

Mine arrived today. Will be washing & drying them tomorrow before I use 'em & hide 'em from SWMBO lol

Tried this today

Going to place an order with Auto finesse later as they've got 20% off till Halloween as I do like there products

@Firstname_lastname - PMSL - Makes me feel sane lol

Hopefully I've calmed down for a little while, the problem is I read threads on DW and on here, and think "How did i ever survive without that" even if I use it once per year (which is the case with 90% of the products/brushes/pads i own), I love detailing, and I am naturally a collector of things, so the two things together don't help (my bank balance that is).

I nearly bought a 100L air compressor to clean my pads, then remembered that's why I bought the pad washer...

The people at work think it's hilarious, as i get my purchases delivered there most days, and the common comedy material seems to be "you haven't washed your car for 2 days, it must be filthy" (which it is because its black, but that's not the point).

I like reading this thread:

I know I am not alone, further more, there are others who have it worse than me

Thanks everyone :)

Of topic for this thread, but it actually upsets me when I see people washing their cars "incorrectly" to the extent where my better half and my 15 year old lad tell me to shut up about it when i am driving around with them in the car.

"arrgghhh he's only got one bucket, and he's using a sponge, he may as well be using a pan scourer", "Dad your sad, shut up"

I have otf witnessed the workers in the Aston Martin garage right outside where i work, washing 5 to 6 Aston Martins with the same bucket of water and a sponge (on a daily basis during the summer non the less) and it breaks my heart every time i see it.

Sponge and Tcut make me shiver
Gerrrrr !!

back on topic; Snaglets hose guides, just bought some, DoDo juice do something very similar, but everywhere was sold out, so i got Snaglets instead.

Getting the hose caught on the rear tyres literally sends me up like a rocket, every time. £20 is cheap to protect my own blood pressure...

Pic please never heard of them

Dragons breathe has really good reviews I have wonder wheels alternative and think its brilliant but once you have cleaned them with it seal them after really makes a drifference. Just refurb my alloys then sealed them and the dirt just washed off no need to dragons breath it all the time
