Facelift Facelift S3 saloon ibis white Turbo Technics V4

Looks awesome, in my honest opinion with introduction of Ara blue crystal, it would have busted yer Riviera Blue onions as it looks far nicer..... And its far cheaper
Cheers, ive not seen Ara blue crystal yet tbh. It was more a personal thing as ive wanted a riviera blue car for ages, but the white works for me and i really like it. Not to mention the financial gain.
Ive order some spacers and h&r springs to go with the magnetic ride so should make it ride a little lower.

Looks great, interested to hear what spacers you go for and what they look like once fitted. I have been debating with myself over fitting them to mine since I bought it.

That's a bummer re your order arriving wrong. I'd have been raging.
I hope someone in Audi is getting their jotters as we speak.
Anyway the main thing is that you have something you're happy with, and it does look fantastic mate, congrats!

I could have gone to town on them but they were very accommodating mate. Even offered me an RS3 at cost but it was out of my price range. I could have rejected it quite easily but it really grabbed me, even right upto signing the paperwork they just wanted me to be happy and were keen to tell me that i didnt have to take it, but i was like no i love it, ill take it lol

Given that you like the colour and it has the same spec otherwise, I'd say congratulations!

You can do a lot with 4K...
E.g. tte525 and tune... :D

Looks smashing btw!

Thanks mate, im gonna start off with a revo map just for the sps switch i think, then add all the supporting mods for stage 2, then over to rick for a custom map with a 525r or turbo technics. Its taking every ounce of my mind to stop me ordering everything. I still need to sell my red A4 which is another 5k to add to the pot. In serial tuner when the moneys there

Sounds like a good plan!

Thinking in the same terms here.
Low risk mods now and wait until the car reaches two year birthday until possibly going wild...
The TTE turbos are so tempting though... :D

I just woke up (Canada) and was enjoying my breakfast and saw the update on Craig's Riviera Blue.....my tea went down the wrong way as I gasped at the WHITE S3. Audi, shipped the wrong colour...WTF. How could that happen? Meanwhile Dougie is nervously looking at his order spec sheet and looking for the Ara Blue code...it is correct. If Audi screw this order up no amount of apologies will suffice to cool this transplanted Glaswegian, there will be blood on the showroom floor.
Craig, your rational is heart warming and I am happy that you like the error in colour. The same thing happened to me about 20 years ago and as you I actually liked the wrong shipped colour....It was BLUE!!!

Added the spacers today, 15mm rear and 12mm front H&R hubcentric spacers.

Thought i would add them before fitting the H&R springs to make sure theres no clearance issues, rather than find out after.
So far so good, so im hoping to do the springs tomorrow, then the black edition styling over the weekend, if all goes to plan

Well im trying not to look too far into it mate but it does feel like it has more ground coverage, it clears speed bumps width ways a little better but does feel alot more planted, but it could just be me looking too far into it

Cheers mate...The only reason I asked was because it's an easy mod that can be returned back to stock in minutes....
Was wondering if it was worth it ...:friends:

It looks alot better and does definitely feel better to drive mate, its worth the cash just to get the wheels closer to the arches. The wheels look more like 19s now and the arches dont dominate the wheels as much. The springs should compliment too hopefully. I just hope it isnt too low

Yeah it has 19s but they looked small in the arches and set back, like they could have been an extra inch wide and got away with it. Yes also has the mag ride

After going in a Revo equipped stage 3 T/T big turbo G7R I've gotta get me one of those - mind numbingly quick you need to recalibrate your senses. A 35k car shouldn't go that quick but it can ! - mental !!

Its TD1 thats gonna stop me tuning for the time being mate. Im not sure i want to even risk stage 1 yet. Thats hard for me when i dont do standard lol. Mines really started coming out of its shell now and it really does shift, i couldnt imagine a turbo technics stage 3! Im debating wether to waiy for the RS3 saloon or **** the warranty of and tune the S3 out of its mind

Absolutely gutting about the Riv Blue....but your new car does still looking stunning in white.

Look forward to your thoughts on the spacers and new springs.

I guess its one of them wasnt meant to be moments. I was gutted to start with but then realised that i could always have it next time if it means that much to me. Ive never had a white Audi so i guess i got lucky especially with the financial saving. White was next on the list and tbh i chose white on the build incase it went wrong. Who knows maybe a riviera blue rs3 saloon or rs4 saloon in the future? Im just enjoying the car overall so the colours working for me

Yep it's a big decision mods not for everyone.

Kept mine standard for 6,000 miles then curiosity got the better of me. :scared2:

The cars now an ongoing project hence my rather wordy signature LoL !!

Fitted the H&R springs today, managed to do all 4 in 1.5 hrs which i didnt think was too bad. (Loads less hassle on a new car though tbf)
It feels amazing, to say its only a little drop it now feels as planted as the RS4 which is amazing. Dynamic mode feels, well, more dynamic lol! No knocks bangs, scraping or lights on the dash and i was quite amazed to feel that comfort mode still feels really smooth and well, comfy lol.

The spacers and the springs really sort the wheel arch gap perfectly. Not too much imo but feel free to share your opinions.

Heres some pics, black edition extras tomorrow, then full paint correction on saturday and it will finally start to feel like my car
