Been there for nearly 2 weeks now.
Slightly frustrating as it's unlikely to be picked up next week as I'm away with work....

paperwork tomorrow! hoping the PDI is sorted quickly so i can pick up my new car. been busy arranging early termination fees and insurance ect its been a headache but worth it when its done!

Can I ask where you see what the current status of your order is, i.e status 30/38/40 etc?
I only see the standard quality control/in transit/arrived etc, with 3 stages of "in transit".
Am I missing something?

Still status 40 and now been at the UK port for 2 weeks...
Dealer doesn't know when it'll be with them either. They had said this week, now saying end of next week...
Pretty poor show letting it sit for 3 weeks at the port of entry and not communicate with the customer.

Just ordered S3 Black edition from Milton Keynes
They first said beginning of December but now likely to be January
They have also given me an order number but nothing comes up on the Audi Website
looking forward to getting it though

Have you gone status 40 now too?
I've been "40" since the 18th now. Was hoping to have it within the next week, but that's looking less and less likely, contrary to what the dealer told me the week before.
After the two cars chumming it all the way from conception to Emden, yours is Status 38 and mine is still 30 - bummer! Wifes TT is 38 too. All waiting on this non-existent (currently) ship to take them all to Tyne Port.

Don't worry, it takes a few days to appear on the system mate. You're going through what I did a few weeks ago.
African Highway has left/is leaving Emden bound for Sheerness.
I do hope mine jumps on board, it has been at Emden since the 13th.

Seems mine and Blatchy's were side by side but were split when boarding African Highway as mine seems still to be in Emden which is hugely frustrating.
Confirmed with dealers I'm still waiting at port...
@samo usual window is about 12 weeks from ordering to delivery but that's usual quoted...I think sisters car is about 6-8 weeks from ordering

Still status 38 & checked port of fyne to see no arrivals up until the 29th Oct
Keep an eye on the Nordic Ace... It's a pretty big vessel and mine had a pleasant journey over to Tyne in it.
Got that in my fleet but it's currently cutting about up near Finland
Looking like mine and the wifes cars won't be here until November now.
Unless they go to one of the other ports, but I doubt it.

Well, I went to sign the deal, but their IT systems (Macclesfield Audi) were playing up. On the other hand, I did get to wander round the lot and find my car, which was built in Gyor II (regardless of the yourAudi tracker stating Ingolstadt).
Here's the car looking rather sorry for itself, all filthy with it's transport covers still in place, and no centre caps for the wheels! I'm now perfectly happy with my choice of Navarra Blue though!

I'd wrongly assumed it was only the TT that was made in Gyor. How did you find out that's where yours was made, is there some labelling on the car as it stands?

Yep there's another photo I took that I've not posted (VIN number on show), a label in the windscreen with option codes and a mention of Gyor II at the top.
I was winding the wife up too, saying her TT was coming from Hungary but my S3 was built in the proper Audi factory in Germany. Better not let her see this post now

Interesting how they are shipped, with the wheel centre caps missing. I see there are plastic covers on the seats... what else is protected/covered inside?

The seats were covered as was part of the center console/transmission tunnel. Not much else I could tell, due to sun glare and just how little space I had around the car. Surprised to see that the dash inlays weren't protected. I'm sure the sill plates are covered (as my A4 sills were and STILL ARE!), and the footrest will be protected also.
So the mats will be in a bag in the boot I guess, but surely something protects the floor carpets...? I would have thought most of the "touch points" would be covered?
I think there might be a protective film over the VC screen...?

I've just ordered the S3 Black edition Sportback,
Does the Lights on the exterior handles come standard?? as on the Audi website it says it comes as standard, but now being told by my guy at the dealership that this ONLY comes with the Lighting package.....
which I thought was what is included!!!

By "lights on the exterior handles", do you mean "Audi Beam" (the projection of either "Quattro" or the "Audi Rings") which is actually under the door?
This seems to be a point of contention at the moment, both the pricelist and the brochure list Audi-Beam as standard fit on the S3, but many cars are turning up without them fitted, and dealers are claiming that they aren't standard fit.
Fortunately I've got copies of the literature just in case they get pulled. As far as I'm concerned I'll be getting the advertised spec from the date I ordered the car, regardless of what has changed in the interim.
