Facelift New S3 ordered :-D

Anyway, apologies for derailing. I think the OP is more interested in red vs yellow. I'd agree that yellow is only really a go with the as yet unavailable black pack. Would look best with black mirror caps too. All IMHO before I offend anyone!

Out of the Red v Yellow, if you want impact it most definitely has to be yellow. Agreed on the BSP. Retro fit?

I made these when I was still considering Daytona Grey too but that option has since been binned

It's often over looked mate .... hell even I did till I saw it on a TTS and it blew me away - the same way sepang did a few years ago.

To the less educated it just another silver ... Not till you see it that you appreciate its a dark moody molten Mercury shade of silver !

The less floret the better though as more exclusivity for us fella :sunglasses:

Fair point and no offence meant to you personally - Scottyg seems to be a bit 'up himself' taking offence on your behalf by proxy! You are right that I'm uneducated in the ways of Audi Silver - I'm sure it looks stunning. My (personal) issue with Silver at the moment (having had many silver cars myself in the past) is more one of 'fashion' than the colour itself. 15 years ago every other car was silver. That went out of fashion and briefly every other car was white. Currently it seems it's all about 'shades of grey'. For me the abundance of silver still lingers on those older cars built when it was so fashionable. I expect that in a few years time, silver will be back in the 'no 1' spot again. Fickle, I know.

Afternoon all. Newish on here so hello!!

I've just placed my order for a Daytona Grey sport back - s tonic ( or dsg as we say on www.vwroc.com) parking sensors and B&O sound. Can't wait. Wanted a S3 saloon in Sepang but sepang was binned and the saloon was over my limit.....

Almost the same as me although I opted for Tech Pack advanced too. The saloon is a little bit more money but includes 19" wheels and Magnetic ride as standard which helps offset the cost (if those matter to you)

Hi new to the forum , I too have just ordered a new one was going for 3 door but when I saw the saloon in the flesh I wanted one, S3 s tronic, Daytona grey, privacy glass and B&O. I used car wow to get me a good negotiating price then haggled and annoyed Audi Teeside till he beat CarWow £3k in and £385/month pick it up 31st September. Can't wait.

Lucky man, thats the car I wanted but will 'have to make do' with the Sportback!! 1st world problem!

Indeed...I had dismissed Floret..initially...but once nudged by Jassy I started to see why Floret is more than just silver...for a metallic it does remarkably well at changing according to the light...

...but I also need to add...i don't think silver is a fashionable colour..I like to think more of a timeless colour ..silver has been around for a lonnnnnnnnnnnng time.....only thing that dates a car is the car....with the odd exception!...



...but back to the OP...congratulations on the order....agreed Navarra is too dark...but still a cracking blue...Tango...can look a tad cherry under certain lights...not that's not a bad thing... the S3 does look good in red....Tango was on my hit list at one stage... it would take a brave man to own a custard coloured car...a very brave man (or woman)

So after an original delivery date of Dec 5th I then got a new date of Nov 4th and then I got a call on 7th Oct to say its with the dealer!!

Being flat bedded to me on Monday 17th!!

can't wait!!
