What have you done to your Audi A4 B7 today?

Nothing really......just grinning as the two delivery men with my new roller cab and top box commented on how great the Avant looks. Made my day after having it delivered @ 6:45 this morning :tired:
Let us see it then

Well it's finally out of the box and assembled.

It was an eighth of the price of a Snap-On one and this one seems sturdy enough....apparently it can handle just over a ton. It's build quality in my opinion is excellent and I'm a right fussy See You Next Tuesday person, lovely feeling on all the drawer roller bearing sliders, safety locks on all the drawers, not slip mats in all the drawers and the best thing is the crinkle paint as you won't see any fingerprints.

Now I just need a week or two to sort my tools out of storage and get them in and get some art work made for the front of it.

now gent's, thought i'd show and tell on my afternoon, here's the results of my mapping mission with no egr and no anti shudder, full miltek and de cat on my 140 tdi,

it was making 138 standard, asked him to keep the torque under 400 to save my clutch he had it higher but the map was smoother and ran better as it is on the print out so we agreed to leave it. it fly's now, here comes a load of bad mpg figers due to foot down problems. lmao

that looks like a "top tool cabinet " carl, sort of thing i'd really be able to use to its full potential, I have 4 half height ones at present , good quality but just a right pain looking into individual ones all the time.
Is there plenty of room for special tools like three legged pullers etc and air tools etc , I find they are the worse item to store away

Yes Rob it's more than ample of holding large special tools.

It doesn't look it but it's 42" wide and 64" tall with the wheels. I'll sort a link out for it soon as it's food time

Replaced all interior lights with LEDs today and all I can say is wow - it's bright!! Also retrofitted the driver's side footwell and Puddle light.
Oh BTW still enjoying the rubber snub mount!!

Would love to see what mine would make with all that done, mines made 187 with no mods at all lol it fairly changes to drive ability of the car doesnt it

come to think about it I think they were another option , one of many....

hello mate, i've had a dtuk box on mine for about two years so it wasnt a huge change, its just now the mods are all taken into account via the map and its running loads cleaner without the egr pushing crap through the engine/turbo, picks up mint with your foot down. the only thing i was looking to get any gain from was the exhaust but i wasnt holding out for much more than i got, he did have it at 191bhp and with more torque but i wanted to keep my clutch alive and put a hardcut limiter at 4.4 rpm for a bit of fun. have you any pics of your map to see the difference in power curves.

I wish I had the space, I'd be all over this. Looks good fella!

Hi guys I've been a bit quiet but it's time I stepped up the looks dept.

Managed to get a DTM mfsw, just need the stereo interface & I should be good to go.

I had the rims painted black which I like but the finish is a bit pants so I'll be taking it back for a repaint.

Fitted 12mm h&r spacers on the rears with black bolts, painted the hubs & calipers black. I'll be doing the fronts tmrw, h&r 10mm.

There's a few more things to do on the outside but I'm nearly there.

p.s
Key fob was battered so fitted new pads & carbon wrapped. Much better than before although some may not like it.

Wozza what tyre size are you running with those spacers??

Hi Jord,
I followed the instructions Dani posted here but instead of using all 4 LEDs on the footwell I used 2 only and the other 2 as front Puddle. (I ran the cable through the door trunking)
I had to adjust the cable to suit and joined them up using butt connectors.
Here's a diagram, hope it makes sense?

Washed the car today for the first time with the splitter on! Gave it a 2nd layer of the Dodo Juice blue velvet wax after the 1st layer was applied few weeks ago. I think I finally found a decent wax that gives a rich gloss blue and beads water pretty well and above all with a realistic price tag!
Not a great photo but here you go..

Hi thanks mate so basically i just need to connect them to the front dome light? and then obviously run the cable to the foot well lights? Did you just run the cable down the a pillar and then behind the dash?

Ive already got the puddle lights retro fitted in did them last night so wouldn't need to do them.

Dont suppose you have a part number on the lights? as i used aftermarket puddle lights on mine which are just audi rings.

I think you should consider doing the clear corner aswell nozrul , clear indy's do make the front end look a lot fresher ....just a suggestion.

clear corner mod is changing the front indicator lens from amber to clear , a very popular upgrade with the the B7's , mine was already clear from factory but a lot were not.
Clear4

Yes just had a quick look, seems quite straightforward but need to find out the price first for the clear lens. Maybe this mod I'll save for next summer.

I would also would like to dechrome the grill surround, again next summer.

Alright fella's

I've got a few days off work so i was out early finishing a few jobs on the old girl. The car still needs a good clean which will be a job for tomorrow.

First up was fitting the engine bay covers. Everything slotted into place easy peasy. The compartment cover is loose-ish but it ain't going nowhere & there's no noise from it vibrating so that's the way it stays.

Next job was to finish the fitment of front spacers, painting of calipers & hub. It was a long process due to drying times & working on a public road with buses & cars going past. So I completed one side first before turning the car around. I'll fit some new caliper clips once the paint dries. So far the pads ain't rattling.

Yep red calipers up front & black on the back. No need to show off them tiddly rears lol. I thought I'd balance the red accents, rear lights, dtm side badge & front calipers.

I bought a stereo adaptor for the mfsw. I surprised myself & managed to fit it, only after struggling to get the stereo out & then spending an hour trying to fit two harnesses together. I finally realised remove old aftermarket harness & fit new one. Damn instructions didn't tell me that. Anyhow all up & running after a week from when I bought the mfsw.

I hope you like the pictures, I had to lay on the concrete like a **** to get some of them shots ;-)

Adios
