I think the window regulator has just gone in the drivers door - horrible scratchy/grinding noise as it went down - the wouldn't go all the way back up. It's stuck about 2 inches from the top. I've tried to jiggle it up with the switch and some pressure but it won't budge. Any suggestions on getting it closed for now, I'll change the regulator when I've got a bit of time and a dry day.
Possible to close the drivers window manually?

Afraid that when they screw up thats it and you need to get in there asap.If you keep trying to move it the casing could crack and you make it a lot worse
Yeah - seen that one - that's the guide I was going to use to replace it. Just struggling to find some time at the moment.
Was hoping there might be some simple 'trick' to get it closed easily in the meantime.
