S3 2007/57 can i get a honeycombe grille from an rs3

I have a 2007/57 audi s3 and i want to upgrade the front grille but am not 100% sure if i can upgrade it to the rs3 style front grille could anyone please inform me of the grille i can buy if i can and if not what i have to do to be able to get one
 
You cannot buy one off the shelf. They have to be custom made using an original 06>08 S3 grill and bonding an RS6 (C6) honeycomb mesh in. It's something I plan on attempting after I fit my Black S3 grill as I'll have a spare. You could pay a body shop to do it probably but it'll cost you.

Yes. Only 2009>2012 Can directly swap grills from the RS3. The 2006>2008 S3 has a unique sized grill and nobody makes an off the shelf aftermarket grill for them............ Bar Stewards :crying:
 
What are the differences in the bumpers ? Looking at them they look pretty much the same just trying to figure out why one wont fit cause bonding the rs6 grill with my standard s3 one seems like a lot of effort ?
 
The S3 grill is slightly taller. You can make the A3 replica versions fit with some slight modification but it will leave a gap at the bottom which would trouble some of the more OCD types around here...... myself included. Obviously it's fine for those who can live with it but I wouldn't do it to my car so I don't recommend it.
 
This is the front end of my car as i cant tell if this is the facelift bumper or not as i cant really see much difference?

That is pre-facelift. Biggest giveaway is the different headlights. If you want a properly fitting honeycomb mesh grill you'll have to make it yourself/get someone to make it for you.
 
has anybody tried fitting the premier autohaus rs3/ honeycomb look grills on a pre facelift! i give them a quick message and they said it would fit on a pre facelift s3 and would be $200

would an rs3 bumper/facelift s3 with a rs3 grill be a straight swap on a pre facelift s3?

You need to change the whole front end. Bumper, bonnet, headlights, wings, wing mirrors (For side repeaters), crash bar, bumper mounting brackets (IIRC). Also if you don't have xenons and are upgrading to facelift xenons then you need all the headlight washer stuff too and the auto leveling sensor plus all that goes with that.

You're looking around 2K before paint if you're using an S3 bumper, maybe more if looking to use an RS3 bumper.
