If I wanted a bigger car and wanted to spend a lot the RS7 would be on the short list tbh, really nice.
I like my S3, but thoughts keep turning to a replacement. I'm not sure I'd buy another. Whilst it more or less fits the bill the poor dynamics annoy me more and more as time goes on.
Now my wife has a five door car I no longer need an SB.
I did check out the M2 but the two year wait put me off. At my age I dont want to leave it two years, I might not be here !
The RS focus is of interest, but a close look at one put me off, there's some poor quality issues there, particularly the paint finish and fit, colour and finish of the exterior plastics.
The current RS3 leaves me cold, I've had a couple of long tests and personally found the dynamics worse than the S3, that heavy engine up front dominates and affects the vehicle enormously. Under steer is awful, please don't shoot me this my opinion only.
My dealer has promised to get me a test drive in the new RS3, I'm hoping the new engine is some what lighter. I always felt the RS3 should have had a tuned four pot two litre.
For me it's not about how much BHP they have but the driving experience, the feeling and feedback and sadly Audi don't seem too good at that,
Cayman would be high on my list but a decent spec is mega money. Used Lotus Elite perhaps?

Nogaro blue mate.....stunning but l am afraid it would put the car out my intended budget.....
May be looking at these cars (2017+ TTRS) in 10-15 years, hopefully the budget then allowing one as a dedicated fun car...

Buying a second hand few years old A7 sline 3.0T (slightly detuned S4 engine) and then tuning the h*** of it is a tempting alternive...
(Not being exactly cheap either ofcourse...)

I won't be driving the Kia.
Still, at 4-5 times the price, it would want to be better
To be honest, as I always am, I'd prefer the little Kia GT for a drive to the shops for groceries. It's intended purpose. Much more fun.

Kodiak and the new Q5 share the same platform
