Long time lurker, decided to register as I took delivery of my new A4 today. (spec below)

Almost everything works as expected with the exception of audi connect. I have the tech pack and the online data services work as expected.
I registered the VIN on myAudi and had a PIN generated for me. Entered the pin via the MMI (audi connect menu) and I'm informed that the pin is not correct. (I entered it correctly)
So I used my login details instead (email / pass for myAudi), same issue occurs.

myAudi reports that that all the services have been activated and linked to the car. I can access all the non-personal services from the car (traffic, news etc..)

I'd really like to utilise the destination entry and google goto car, but cannot get the car to connect up.

Any advice?

Although I have an A3, mine works ok after I signed in using "my audi" details - sorry but I cant think of anything obvious you are doing wrong but hopefully someone else will know what the issue is!

I wonder if they are having system problems then. I got mine on Friday and I'm having exactly the same issues. I even deleted the account and tried again in case that made a difference.

Got mine on Thursday. Same issue. It will not accept login details or pin. Even tried with my EE sim.

Hmm... I'm thinking to do it with the dealer when I collect to make sure it works properly!

Rang Audi Uk this morning and explained my situation. Typical of them telling me to speak to Audi Centre where i got the car from. And surprise surprise Audi Centre clueless lol.

Spoke with dealer who i got my car from. The infotainment tech is off this week and will arrange a call back when he is back. In the mean time he was kind enough to email me an internal training doc with email address for German Audi Connect customer care. Ive emailed them even though it is only for Audi tech. Lets wait and see what reply i get back.

Thanks

So i thought i would pop up to the dealer at lunch to see what they say. Thought I would test it one more time and low and behold it worked.

Now just to work out how the key user stuff works lol

Thanks

Just the Pin, It came up and said something along the lines of Accepted. I've created some destinations online so when i go back out later I'll see if they are accessible..

The Audi Connect Infotainment Services system connects Audi vehicles to the internet and gives access to a range of entertainment and information.

Formerly known as Audi Connect, Audi Connect Infotainment Services may include (depending on model):

• Weather information
• News online
• Traffic online information
• Train information
• Flight information
• Wi-fi hotspots*
• Parking information
• Where to find the cheapest local fuel stations
• Map updates online
• Destination input via MyAudi or Google maps
• Google Earth and Google Street View Navigation
• Country specific information
• City events
• Point of interest information
• Picture book navigation
• myAudi – special destinations
• Audi music stream
• Other online services provided by third parties such as Twitter
• Access smartphone voice control
• Text messages and emails can be read out on some models, depending on phone compatibility
Audi Connect Infotainment Services uses an integrated data module with LTE/UMTS and, depending on the model, 3G or high-speed 4G connection. Check the latest price and specification guides for further details.

*On models with an embedded SIM wi-fi is not available.

Is Audi Connect Infotainment Services available on all models?

Yes. Some Audi models offer Audi Connect Infotainment Services with a free three-month trial, while others offer it with a three-year subscription as standard or as an option. Check the latest price and specification guides for details on availability and functions.

How is it activated?

1. Make sure the vehicle has Audi Connect Infotainment Services
2. Make sure the vehicle has a data SIM card. Customers will need to purchase a data SIM card (available from most high-street and online retailers) and slot it into the SIM card slot located in the glove compartment of the vehicle. Some new vehicles from MY17 will have an embedded SIM card already in the vehicle, so there is no need to purchase a data SIM card for these cars
3. Customers will need to register to myAudi to activate and/or personalise certain functions, such as news online. Make sure customers do not confuse myAudi with yourAudi portal, which is used for vehicle-order tracking
4. A compatible phone and software versions will be required for certain functions, such as email and text messages dictation. Visit www.audi.co.uk/phonecompatibility

How can the subscription be extended?

Audi AG is currently re-designing the extension process. Until this is available, it has agreed to automatically extend licences due to expire in 2016 at no charge.

If you have any customer queries or issues with Audi Connect Infotainment Services, email the customer’s name and vehicle identification number (VIN) to xxx.

Is Audi Connect Infotainment Services the same as Audi Connect Safety and Service?Audi Connect Infotainment Services does not include the new Audi Connect Safety and Service). It is important to not confuse the services. You can find out more about Audi Connect and Safety Service here.

Tried mine last night again, no difference.
My mate at Audi is going to ask his mmi man.

Under connection manager. Is your sim option greyed out? Mine was until last night before i logged in.

Have you tried myaudi app (not mmi app). Someone suggested to open the following windows whilst entering the PIN. Click on that link tab at the bottom and it will take you to pairing screen.

Baffled, but it now works.

Used the myaudi app method as suggested by ST09 and I could log the car in using the pin code and pull down my custom destinations. Not entirely sure why you'd need the app to do this... but there you go.

Thanks :)

Hopefully I will be collecting my car next week & I would like to check the connect license periods while I'm at the garage. I have the tech pack & would like to make sure the license periods are 3 years. Could somebody please tell me the menu route to get to see the expiry dates. Thank you.

Has anyone got the remote services eg remote locking/unlock working? I've followed the instructions in the manual but can seem to set the primary user account and put the code in.

I've got the other Audi connect services working no problems.

No, It's not yet available in the Uk. In another thread Audi said it's not coming until 2018 and even then 2018 cars.

With regard to remote locking, I did a bit of digging around and it's been removed on all of the recent literature now. The only mention I can find to Audi connect, is if you have the Audi Service (a la SOS function) option - but it's very vague. The only car I can see that option on in the UK is the Q7.

Really? It's mentioned on Audi's website and manual, I even set up my pin number on myaudi. That's really poor of Audi. Obviously I didn't buy the car for the remote facilities but I had it for the last 3 years on my BMW 3 and found it quite useful.

I've not seen it mentioned in any UK literature since I've been looking into the A4 (august).

A user in another thread posted confirmation from Audi that you needed the Audi Services pack (which is on top of the Connect / Technology Pack) and isn't currently available for the A4.

I believe it is available on the A4 already in other countries and markets, so not sure what the hold up on the UK models is.
