You want a set of rods that had a complete bush in the upper of them. Rifle drilling is argued as best, but if the bush has a groove in it and a hole out the 'top' of the rod, then all your oil pressure is simply going to escape out the top of the rod and offer zero lubrication.
As mentioned, IE rods and damn good for the money (maybe a touch more expensive) but they are a ****** good brand to be buying and probably one of the best.
Mine arent rifle drilled, but typically I only ever use the car at high RPMs where the splash lube from the squirters keeps thing nice up at the top end of the rod. Many other OEM applications arent rifle drilled from the factory.
