Hi sold my s1 in April for the latest tts and its turned out to be a massive dissapointment.
Very fine car, well built but extremely dull. Its actually the most dissapointing car ive owned in 30 plus years of motoring.
I use to walk ip to s1 wanting to drive it but the tts makes me prefer to drive my wifes 1.2 three cylinder mini.
I miss the small car feel of the S1 and much prefer the smaller turbo 230 bhp power unit and it miles more fun.
Got a deal on the table meaning im not really losing to much money.
Think im gonna get it in 5 doors in red.
Am i mad?

Well I love my S1 and am not interested in any other Audi at the moment - so never having driven a TTS I think you're doing the right thing :)

What happened to the 'Ford RS' ?

Hi the RS delivery dates were all over the place and got bit a sick of Ford messing about was told May then June then maybe 2017 so got my money back.
So changed my mind with a lot of persuasion from the wife to!!!!(she hates the latest focus)

It would be easy to say get yourself an S1, especially a red SB....not bias or nothing!

The new TTS is a very polished car. The interior is a stunning place to be. But if doesn't float your boat, and you can change the car again, then why not.

Love my blue and black 5 door, there's a red one in my town (hartlepool) with black roof looks good too, i was looking around at the latest Audi's with TTS in my sights, glad to get your views on owning one. My thoughts are now going towards the RS1 if they bring one out or waiting for the new 2018 S1 when the new model arrives.

I think I saw you last week my wife said there's your car till I pointed out it was a five door!
Got a really good deal on the table for a new S1 will make a decision tomorrow.
In relation to the Tts it's a very accomplished motor vehicle in a lovely body but there's just no excitement in it.
Audi have dialled out any fun with the car, the engine sound is artificial and the driving experience is numb.
Without over doing it it's the most disappointing car I've ever owned in 30 years of motoring.
I can't wait to get rid of it.

I know its not the same but thats how i feel from going from an a1 black ed 2.0 tdi
To my current a3 cod sline.
I cant wait to get the fun back into driving again

The engine sound is artificial ??? Actually, why am I surprised, on the S1's Audi have exhaust valves that quieten them down....

I think Audi make great cars but apart from a s1 and some A1's there just totally boring to drive.
I use to have a Megane Rs250 about 4 years ago I think Audi should employ the suspension engineers from Renault Sport to but some excitement in the brand.
I had my Megane remapped up to 300 bhp it would run rings round the Tts.

I think it's pumped in to the cockpit in the Tts like the focus st just doesn't sound good.

I don't get Audi's logic, on the S1 they make the exhaust quieter and on the TTS they pump artificial noise into the car ?? Make your minds up !! :)

Wow that's crazy. You would think the TT would be amazing. Mind you I drove my nephew's s3 when he had it and my S1 was more fun. I think the autobox takes the fun out of it.

i agree a workmate has an s3 and its very sterile in driving quick but a little boring
