Am car/Audi mad..as.ye all know...in the back of my mind, l thought at least they would give the RS3 saloon the speed dependant rear spoiler like in the TT and the RS7...something to jazz it up a bit,but no...

Agree mate the spoiler would have been nice. I don't get the wheel arches, am sure the geezer in the showroom video said they were wider................don't look it in the pics and videos though??

I agree with most of the points raised here, apart from a couple. I ordered an S3 2017 saloon/sedan in ARA BLUE.... " Oh The Horror"... you have to see the colour in natural light to appreciate it and note the hatchback S3 is not available in Canada and frankly "Scarlet" I prefer the saloon profile and 4 doors.

We'll not convince anyone the saloon is the best shape any more than they'll convince us SB's or HB's are!!

But have to disagree about the looks....
Very tricky to do on a saloon though. Lancia did it 30 years in the Thema 8.32, and while it sort of worked it wasn't a total success. They really must have been smoking something strong back then though. Who else would have thought hooking a ****** great Ferrari V8 to a front drive gearbox and then shoehorning it into a rust prone chassis with all the torsional righty of an ice cube tray would ever be a good idea?

RS should really stays Sportback/Avant IMO, the front silver spoiler on the Ara blue looks totally out of place, the black spoiler on the red looks great but made it look somewhat like any other FL A3/S3, plus the front looks "artificial". And while I like the rear, it should really have been wider fender to make it a RS.
Over here with registration tax, the S3 is about £55,000 while the current RS3 is about £65,000. If the RS3 Sedan will be around the same price at £65,000 it will still be way cheaper than M2's £78,500 and CLA45's £75,700. Usually, Audis are priced with decent options here already but you'll need at least £5-10K to make a BMW/Merc with drivable option... Superior power and at £10K+ less, I think it will sell ok here, plus RS usually retains value much better over here than M or AMG coz maybe RS is no where near as mainstream as M or AMG?

19"s on contis as well, surely they gotta add 20"s on to the options list, the saloon has large enough arches to accommodate them....

Just wishful thinking on my behalf l suppose another thing to take into consideration for the S3 owners wanting to get into the RS3 saloon.... Could you live another 3 years estimated, in the same cabin... Another thing to consider....

I would give it a go..
Quite like the interior of mine in base spec. So an Rs will have in my eyes an upgraded interior?.....Will have to wait and see what the finances work out when the time comes to change....Can,t wait for a test drive..
now that would be something to make it a significant step up from the S3 versions !

Just got talking to a female outside the job l am on at the moment, she had parked her Solar Orange 16 plate RS3 outside the job matt aluminium pack, lunar silver ss seat's aluminium roof rails, privacy glass upgraded alloys stunning it was real classy looking, l said to her,l love the colour ie solar orange.... She said it was catalunya red....!!!! She had too money she didn't even know what colour it was lol

That's exactly how'd I'd spec an RS3 Saloon mate....................if I was gonna go for it and was brave enough for a shout at me colour!! lol

Go have a look at the S5 interior mate its only available on the configurator or on youtube.....at the moment Let me know yer thoughts.... Spec it with carbon atlas inlays..... Am banging my head against a wall here l know lol
As for solar orange.... Lol l think bravery has nowt to do with it if you really like the colour mate.... Yeah a lot guys will say it's not worth the extra dosh.... A wouldn't give Audi ex amount for paint.....but on a RS3 it's a must for me anyhow.... Adds rarity... One ****** up man ship.....lol
Certainly an improved look over the Sportback, but like the Sportback, not enough in the arches department to differentiate.
Red definitely the colour over blue.
Audi is going backwards with its wheels on the RS3. Rotors, then these.
Far better wheels available to them - a set of V Spokes would transform the look.
Easy to sort I guess.

Yeah some very nice touches in the S5 mate, particularly like the illuminated cut outs in the centre console sides and I get what your saying with the RS3 in general, it's good (gash rims aside) but could have been so much more...........................sure I've heard that before on here!! lol
