..... car will be transformed you may as well enjoy it rather than the next owner :friends:
The next owner will enjoy it more than me as he/she wouldn't have spent the best part of £500 on a tune...lol
But having said that I really do like the thought of 360 bhp....Just need to get rid of the 'sensible' portion of my brain...:scared2:

Rick, I've been noticing lately that your torque numbers less than before. Did you find running the 400-410 on stock DSG too much so made it safer?

Thanks Rick - might have to bring the cooler install forward LoL - still not sure who I trust with the install paranoid about the bumper being damaged.

The bumper comes off very easily and goes back on just the same. Honestly it's a breeze, just your air con will need re-charging. It's a hell of a lot easier disconnecting it.

Thanks Mike - i think I'll bite the bullet and order up the Wagner FMIC and look to do it myself - just need to figure out how to get the front in the air. Do the wheels need to come off to access the bumper fixings that are behind the forward part of the liner ?

Yeah wheels off mate, I just looked at bumper removals on here and on the net.

You could use axel stands but I have some wooden blocks that I use to hold cars up.

Yes I got mine from eBay @Rob2k68 think it was £675 ish but can't remember.

Thanks Mike think I'll go Ebay too.

Was there much cutting away involved to get it to fit ? I notice that there's a * next to the 8V indicating that some modifications are involved.

That's what takes the time really. There's a few places I cut away that didn't need to be really, just started getting carried away haha. Once everything thing is back together you will not see it, unless you are looking for it.

As the IC is fatter it pushes everything forwards towards the inner grill.

You will need to drill the AC Rad brackets so you can screw it to the IC.

I used a dremil to cut everything back but you will need to take your time for the best results.

I will PM my number so when you start it or if you wanted to ask anything it there for you @Rob2k68

I managed to change my intercooler with the car on its wheels just turned it lock to lock to reach the different arch liner screws that is on a 8p tho

Well there is that way, I didn't want to mess about so just took everything off and had it in the air.

People have there own way of doing things I suppose.

Personal preference @Ben2487

Cheers for the PM Mike :friends:

I didn't like the sound of the cutting so I've gone for the Revo FMIC, should pick it up this afternoon.

No worries, I take it there's no mods to do with the Revo IC ?

I've been reassured it's no mods just OEM fit so here's hoping !

I bought Wagner expecting a perfect fit but with any aftermarket being larger it makes things tight... very tight my bottom fan screw is sitting on the jubilee clip for the bottom hose, don't get me wrong it is a very good fit but expect something not to quite line up 100%

Hopefully it will fly in mate, it is a tight fit with the Wagner on the 8V hence the mods to the inner grill or frame.

Mine was still a tight fit one it was in but wasn't cutting any more off ha
