A3 Sportback cabin lights sometimes on , sometimes off

Anybody know the reasonm behind this ?
Sometimes the led on the door lock button turns on (when door is locked), but sometimes does not turn on.
Another thing is that the led on CD button on the radio is also Off.
Is this due to individual lightning being burned? or other reason ?

I have and idea of what is wrong but I'm not telling so that i can get your honest input on this... :-
 
Try to run a vcds diagnosis... It looks like a wire problem or bcm failure...
I'm not an expert, but this is what i would check.

Do you think battery being drained can be the reason for this ?
Start/Stop is already disabled because of that
 
I don't think the battery is the problem, since after you turn on the engine, the alternator produces power to charge the battery and power up everything in the car...
Start/stop function is disabled because of the battery. It doesn't have sufficient power to provide engine start up ...
Also when the start/stop is enabled and the car is stationary in traffic, the ignition is on but the engine is off (alternator don't produce power) and there is a lot of power consumtion ...(in this case the power is provided by battery)
I suggest you to change the battery asap because a weak battery reqest more power from alternator, this will result in a alternator failure sooner or later...
Again, run a vcds error scan to see the errors, and you will find out which is the solution.

Just a small correction:
Right now when stationary in traffic, the engine is always running because Start/Stop never works.
I will change the battery soon... or considering the price of this battery, I put a 'bit more' €uros and upgrade to the new A3 that is available next month.
