Been looking into having the silencer/resonator on my car replaced with a straight pipe.

Got quoted £79 to have it done but thought I'd post here first to see if anyone has already went ahead and had this done to theirs.

Just wanting a bit more noise so thought this would be the easiest way about it as I've already coded my exhaust flaps to stay open with VCDS.

Personally I think it's a good mod little bit more Noise in sport/dynamic with the farts being a bit louder as well. As for the cruising at 70 u will get the dreaded drone but I find for me that soon as I put it on efficiency it's very slight nothing that the B&O won't sort :) worse case get it put back on hope this helps

It's been done before and apparently sounded poor from what I've understood I may be wrong.

We will be developing ours very shortly - with a few tweeks to create a better overall experience...

Think someone here did it and really regretted it

@Dandanfings maybe

It sounded absolutely awful, however some people like the sound, to me it sounded like a clapped out old mini with a broken exhaust.
I have no idea why but on the Golf R it sounds fine.

Centre Silencer delete option on a BCS Powervalve system has only been tested on an 8P Ric - but theoretically it should be possible...

i have heard the facelift s3 doesn't have the centre resonator, and is slightly louder because of this? I'm guessing Audi wouldn't have just taken the box out and left it at that, can anyone shed some light on this?
