Wife took the car to Sainsburys last Saturday & came back to this :rage:

This was after trying to polish it out

Going to have to be resprayed now been quoted £250 but I'm also on the lookout for a face lift bumper but not found one yet.

@Bulldog - Feeling your pain buddy
Hope you get it sorted soon

Any thoughts on using a Smart type bodywork repairer ?

Inconsiderate idiots in car parks really do my head in - I always park away from everyone else in a quiet corner and then comeback to find someone has parked right next to me despite another 40 spaces being empty in the same area.

Sorry to see the damage to yours :(

I m so afraid to park my car at shops like big Sainsburys and my wife was always teasing me and moaning till one day when we ve seen a lady going straight into another car as she tried to park.. without manouvers without any stress...straight into someone else. Back to my flats all the cars are scratched and full of dents..One day my car will get hit I m sure...just look at this

I feel your pain, I feel the site may block most of what I would like to type.

Sorry to hear this mate. As others have said I always park miles away from anyone else even if I have to walk, but like someone else said there could be an empty car park and just my car and the next person in seems gravitationally attracted to park right next to my car despite having 200 other empty spaces

I have to admit it is why I have another car, keep the others for best, and avoid the chavs.

Very frustrating. Half of the people driving on our roads are a liability. Accidents I can understand, but some people struggle to go from A to B without damaging either their own car, or someone else's.

Have you thought about claiming in your own insurance? If you've protected no claims, then take the hit on the excess.

Swines.
Our neighbours devil children are using the car park as an all weather pitch at the moment and cars as goal posts.
They always manage to miss their own heaps of **** though.

erg how deflating. Smart repair for that will be around 100, pretty easy job for them.
There are some very good smart repairers about (and bad!) if you are around south west london i can recommend someone I would use myself.

Thought about a dash cam? I got mine for exactly this after my car was reversed into on my driveway.. which also had a path infront so they extra out of their way!

That is when I miss my wife's old Polo, now I'm just as worried about her new Polo as my S4 - which has not been out for its fresh air this month!!

Yes, happens to me too! What I now do is park on the far side where there are plenty of spaces and use two of them!

Hate car parks, and the idiots who don't pay attention to other cars around them.

The only way to park an Audi is to line up your front rings with the white line between two parking spaces.

@Bulldog, hope you get it sorted out mate, and you didn't give your wife to much grief. :whip:

Sorry this happened to you, Bulldog. Like so many others here, when I have no alternative but to park in a public car park, I always find the remotest space as far from the entrance as possible. The one saving grace is that the human race is mostly bone idle and just doesn't want to walk more than ten feet.

I agree that if you went for the smart repair option, it'd likely be about £100. Here's mine (very similar to yours but self-inflicted)

Might go down the smart repair route but probably leave it till early next year when the weather picks up. @JG51 AUD it's not her fault she's as p***ed off as I am as she knows how fussy I am with the car.

A bit ott parking..used these cones. But there method in the madness. I always park furthest away or in the best spot available. Sorry it has happened, it shouldn't happen to anyone.

Quite sure your Mrs would have throttled the offending driver if she had got a hold of them. :box:
