Do you guys typically use the digital speedometer? The wheel seems to cover up a bit of the speedo and I don't want to set the wheel like I'm driving a school bus.

Hardly ever use the digital speedo.I do see your point of the steering wheel being in the way..

I like the digital speedo, but it's infuriating that the option to display it doesn't include an option the have the clock. You can have the date - big deal - I usually know what day it is. :blahblah1:

Digital speedo all the time here - got used to it in the 8P then really missed it with the cars I've had between that one and this one.

I used it in France this year, really good as the kmh is not as clear on the dial

Do you guys have trouble seeing the top of the speedo? Maybe I need to lower my seat.

No trouble whatsoever seeing the speedo. Just cant see the top allum/chrome strip part with the indicators in it, maybe lower your seat a bit? mine is all the way down actually. Love the speedo setting. I live in Portugal most of the year so its perfect for me, seeing the KMS instantly without having to change MPG or total mileage is a real plus. In my old car if i changed to KMS then it changed everything, nightmare trying to work out kl per litre!

One cannot be without the digital speedo in our nanny state where a 3kmh indiscretion means a hefty fine

Taking that photo in the UK would now get you 6 points (half way to disqualification) and a £200 fine if you got caught :)

back on topic, I always use the digital speedo and have seat and steering adjusted so I can see it with no problems

I only use it when I am back in Blighty, my Speedo is in KPH. Helps keep speeding tickets at bay as I am still using my UK licence!

You can have the time and digital speedo at the same time, that's how mine is set up.

You can indeed, I start with oil at the bottom of the screen and switch to mpg once i'm past 85 - 90c and use the screen for the time etc.

I think from what I've read only MY16 can scroll to the time and date though, and earlier cars can't

I have mine set up with the digital speedo in the big area and the time in the lower area, as I usually don't have the MMI screen up constantly. Agree that I have never needed my car to know what the date is though!

I complained about this to Audi HQ in Germany, I wonder if the facelift model has been updated !!! Numpties

Thats good

Is your car a facelift, obviously its not a UK car as your not in mph

2016MY but maybe it is a North American thing? It's at the very top too, the date comes next.

Can confirm that my MY16 S3 (PFL as the FL is not here yet!) here in Oz can have the Digital Speedo with either date/time displayed by scrolling to either or. (have to switch to Lap Timer for Oil Temp as I have yet to play with mods)

Mines UK and mine will do it. Nov 2015

Thanks I'm wondering if you get the time with digital speedo when you have audi connect, which I'm presuming is that symbol that looks like a satellite dish receiving data ???

I don't have audi connect, that is showing the time is set off GPS I believe

I will go and have a look need to clean the inside of my car, noticed the windscreen is filthy (slight exaggeration... mild OCD)

My July 2015 S3 can display the time on the digital speedo screen as per the above screenshots. Silly question but I assume you have tried scrolling through all of the options to find the clock? You don't need Audi Connect for this as I do not have it. The satellite symbol by the clock means you have it set to "auto check" the time by GPS.

Digital speedo from day on, like the way it's dead centre :)

I thought the same when I first got the car, then I noticed the clock on the mmi!

I wonder if there is a firmware update from Audi or something to fix this. My 15 plate doesn't have it either so annoying.

I will trade mine in for a 65 plate just for the clock
