65 A3 Wing Mirror Problem

I have a 65 plate a3 sport and have caught my wing mirror reversing and has been bent towards to the bonnet of the car and i can't rotate it back.

Any thoughts? Haven't tried with "brute force" as only had the car ~6-7weeks
 
I would try pulling it back quite firmly. If that doesn't work, you'll probably need to take it to the dealer.
Hope it's not actually damaged or it could be quite expensive!
 
there's no damage to the casing or anything, just caught the edge of the hedge and spun it round so the glass is facing outwards
 
it feels like it'll rotate towards the car easily but doesn't want to spin back the otherway, it feels like it hits a locking mechanism
 
gonna nip to audi lincoln where i got it from tomorrow morning
 
one of the technicians at audi just snapped it back, needed quite a bit of force, electrics and everything are fine

lol saw this too late, I was going to say brute force, we see them in work and sometimes you think they are broken, but when it's not your own car you just give them a good pull without worrying and they crunch back :)

Glad it's all OK though :)
