just broken down, which what i thought was limp mode. the car kept loosing drive but not engine power, felt like sticky vanes from a pd130 engine.
anyway i pulled over, engine ticked over with no bangs, leaks or warning lights.
i turned it off, gave it the once over, went to turn it over and it would fire.

the starter motor is turning fine, fuel pump in working etc
just wont seem to turn the engine over

now for the last 4/5 days i have had major judder when pulling away and whining, and vibrations throught the gear stick

its an a3 1.8t quattro 6 speed with 128k with no reciept of a cutch/flywheel being chenged.

i have just had a 3" downpipe and decat on which might on contributed perhaps with extra low down torque and me wanting to put my foot down more lol

vcds showed nothing apart from a wheel speed sensor

what clucth flywheel combo can i put in the 6spd ?
ive heard the abf/vr6 is too small.
max power il be aoming for in the future will be no more than 300bhp tops realisctaly 280ish

@Prawn @tuffy i know yiu guys will know the best route to go with this

after doing more research...

1. (if it fits) abf flywheel + vr6 clutch
2. oem DMF + clucth kit ( will this cope with my future plans)

I think Tuffty is running a Luk DMF, but I'm not 100% sure of this. If a OEM DMF can handle his car, I see no reason why it wouldn't handle yours. Many clutch kits are available, so you have no problem there.

I was thinking last night I think I'm just going to oem
And for that reason you mentioned, some people have loads of power and are fine so I will be

I'm fitting standard LUK DMF, standard LUK clutch cover/pressure plate and a sachs paddle clutch plate that badger 5 sells.

GSF code is BANK45 for 45% off this weekend, you can get the LUK stuff from there. Make sure you get the kit with slave cylinder in as you want to change that while your doing it.

I need the clutch kit today if possible so don't have time for bill to send me one,
So oem all the way

Il look now

I run Sach lightweight SMF with Sachs Kevlar clutch. Now it's all bedded in it feels oem to me and revs sooo much faster!
