What have you done to your 8V today?

Did you go and have a cuddle with @batch as hes that kind of way :friends:

Lol.........

For context, 1 hour 25 mins there so averaged well over 60mph, blasting it much as possible avoiding the numerous speed cameras on M25/M23, dealing with traffic in Brighton, and the annoying screeching sound from the front passenger seat..lol

Journey back considerably slower, 2 hours 20 mins due to the usual tail to tail crawl out of Brighton and huge queue on M25 as M26 was closed

Big thumbs up from me on those tips, the IPE with 100mm Titanium tips is very nice.
Compliments the car perfectly. I suspect they were a pretty penny :welcoming:

In comparison to other valved catbacks, costs slightly more.

Well worth it since you have full control of the valves. On/Off/Auto (throttle position)

So, gave this a go this evening. Very impressed! I diluted it roughly 1:18, and it was watery when applied but my god did it clean well! Almost didn't need to use my mitts and shampoo!
What was supposed to be a quick wash turned into a major session - AD Obsession wax on the bonnet, Meg's Ultimate Quick Wax over the rest of the car, finishing with a quick coat of AD Project 32. Then gave the wheels a coat of AD Berry wheel sealant, and dressed the tyres. Looks immaculate again!

Made another addition to my detailing collection yesterday. Definitive Wax Ascari ltd edition 22/36, a small over pour sample pot of the same wax, and their amazing QD Pro.

Got a coat of ascari on the car last night but haven't had a chance to get any pics in daylight yet!

As great as ceramic coatings are, I still prefer the whole process of waxing. I'm also becoming a bit of a wax collector too lol

I'll have an S3/RS3 along in the next year once we move house. Couldn't justify fuel bills in an S3 doing 20k a year. Moving closer to work so it'll make more sense then

Washed the S3 today....Sod's law...it started raining just as I'd finished drying it

Edit: ValetPro Advanced Snowfoam enables total contactless washing....spray on...leave it....pressure wash off....and I'm done!....completely clean

Looks great Jassyo06. 2 things that gets my OCD raging are the Audi rings on the steering wheel and the glossy black parts inside the airvents! how do you tackle these?! i was thinking of using an old toothbrush!

Believe or not l used glass cleaner to clean the steering wheel Cush/4 circles and used it on all of the vents/paddles/autobox alu/door handles/dashboard switch gear/column stalks...S3 logo on steering, leather cleaner for the steering wheel itself..thats done every week along with the seats, the binnacle perspects...has some really fine scratches on it.....its very delicate,l use a very fine 25mm paint brush for a my switch gear...it gets into all the nooks and crannies as they say up here...lol....to be honest l hated it...its very awkward cleaning paddle shifts etc etc...

So.....I'm 6mths into ownership of my S3 and thought I would have a closer inspection on the Lunar Silver Alcantara to see how it's withstanding the day to day punishment and colour transfer.....also to see if I can justify the I gave the Mrs for saying 'yer mad to get this colour'......I love it and would have specced it again if it were available on the FL....although it's not for the faint hearted

Got back in mine and went mmmmmmm....have sufferred 2 days in a Nissan Qashqi driving to the tip of county Cork in south west Ireland .... @jassyo06 you should try a Qashqi for a day or so, and you will really know what bounce is, the S3 is rock solid in comparison. Hired it as I thought it would roomier for 5 of us. Reality it's boot is huge but cabin is is not much bigger than an A/S3 SB and as for the rude quality .....what a pile of bouncy poo

Just swapped my body coloured mirror caps for the chrome version. Chuffed with the results! Used the Nandos card method to pry the trim off it was a huge success, would recommend it. All clips are fully engaged and housed correctly. Big thanks to @Rob2k68 for selling these to me..

Looks Awesome!

so is that 12mm all round? i still want to do this mod..

can anyone share the exact spaces and bolts setup PLEASE and where to get them :)

@zippster Sorry mate, forgot to reply to you

Pictures show 12mm all round, which is what I'm running with now.

So my original intention was to have spacers that didnt protrude the arches as I didn't want a mess along the side of the car in the winter months and stone chips down the side of my car on the long run.
So I went for 15mm spacers on the rear and 12mm on the front.

It looked good but 15mm on the rear was flush with the top of the arch more or less (20mm must be completely flush), but the rest of the wheel stuck out too much for my liking. So swapped the rears for 12's too.

Pictures don't quite capture the difference in 3mm, but in person you can tell. It looks OEM+ now in my opinion and now that its on coilovers, its given it a much more purposeful stance.
