A guy started back work with my company a BMW anorak if there ever was,hes got one of them new M2's.....the guy is totally blinkered as far as Audis..are concerned.he asked me what i was driving almost instantly....when we met...l said a S3.....oh he said l have the new M2....in some blue colour cant remember its name, the launch.....colour....anyway's..... l told him l was changing the car next spring for maybe a RS3/TTRS......i cant ****** wait to....get payback....Grrrrrr...............hate BMW's...or maybe its his attitude l hate....lol
Not into that M2 Jassy, but the M4... hmmm... different kettle of fish that.

I'm pretty slow in my RS3 compared to some fast car owners (I treat it with respect) and I always find that it seems to be idiots in BMW's trying it on with me... tailgating, trying to get past me pointlessly etc etc.

Yeah, that's right... there might not be you know! Saloon for the US announced for 2017 or 2018. Still no news for the UK! Like the limited run of the original 8P it could be a good few years till we see an updated RS3! Looks like it's TDI all the way for you chief:tearsofjoy:

So they are waiting until 2018....and that's been officially announced by Audi right?
Sorry but I'm not having that I'm simply just believing 'Tearsofjoy'

The Mark 1 RS3 was a limited run, so it is possible the same may apply to the mark 2.

The only news we do know which is official is that the USA will get a saloon in Autumn 2017.

Audi for whatever reason are very strict with their RS models and it may be they see the TTRS as filling that gap now !

You just gotta have blind faith for now as you say that another mark 2 will come to the UK.

Doing the Lottery this weekend, Scott... :racer: If it comes in with sufficient funds I'll get you one... :footy:

Spent £10 last Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday on the Lotto, Scott, and only one £10, so nowhere near enough, sorry :sadlike:

On a roll mind so we'll be giving it ago this week, too; hang in there... :blow:

Seems like there are massive delays heading the way of the Audi production lines for current and new models. Some kind of dispute with VAG suppliers has seen a few production lines stop, or have to supply cars with items not ordered by the customer. Not looking good for a smooth start with the Q2 and TT RS. The TT RS has fallen back to September 23rd for order books to open, with rumours that has now slipped again to the new year. Also rumours that some alloy designs have run out and cars are being built with alloys not ordered by the customer. All sounding pretty bad to be honest when it comes to so many new models being introduced. The new A5/S5 and S4 are also being hit with these issues so don't expect to see them being available in the UK any time soon.
The good news is that the RS3 Saloon is definitely coming to the UK but with all the rumoured delays it will be later next year by the looks of things. Also, just a bit of house keeping, but the RS3 Saloon has never 'officially' been announced for any market up to now - and subsequently it has also never been stated it won't be coming 'officially' to certain markets. There were some leaks from a US dealer event, but these were never confirmed or denied 'officially'. With so much invested in the new 5-pot engine there will be more roll out next year with a new RS Q3 model as well as the RS3 and TT RS models.
So looks like there will be some major delays in the next few months anyway which is never a good thing.

It's a good thing if you are an insecure owner of the current version............

Sounds great, thanks for the all the information! Where is it sourced from, if you don't mind me asking? The S4 would probably be the next alternative to an RS3 for me.

l just love the TTRS...**** the RS3 sedan....coming from a S3 Cant wait to test drive the beast...and see what options l can....afford if any lol

Nonsense, most of that... you have a good imagination though, I'll give you that.

Hey, dry your eyes mate, you'll still have a nice car when the FL arrives.
By the time it comes in 2019 or so, I'll be in my new RS4.
And you'll still be in your S3 mate, hanging round on here, dithering about the next F/L...:tearsofjoy:

I am, yes. Know what I want. Always wanted an RS4 and seeing that the new model is coming potentially next year, the timing is right for me.
Being an S3 type of guy, I reckon it's one of those cars you can only dream about eh?

It's not though it's just nonsense. It's like some imaginary Audi boardroom meeting condensed into two paragraphs. Read it, please.:tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:
It's the facts as far as anyone knows at this point. Keep dreaming and thinking of all that debt you can tie-up in an estate car that will depreciate like a rock in the first year. ;)

The facts? Honestly?:tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:
I'm not bothered about the costs mate, it only depreciates as much as any other car. I'm not that hung up about the financial side of things if I'm honest. I don't tend to dither about. Oh hang on though, I'm sure you have the depreciation figures from that imaginary boardroom meeting in your head - what were they again?:tongueout:

Who's dithering? Do you have any facts that point to any of your drivel being accurate, or are you the ultimate dreamer here? ;) I'm glad I missed out on that last round of RS3s if owners end up as gibbering wrecks of sensitive nerves :) and feelings of superiority ;) over mere TDI and S3 owners. How dare they, eh? Right, bored now. Think I'll go and have a drive in my hatchback. Keeping dreaming of that estate car, you never know, one day you'll get enough on a PCP to afford it... :)

No point spitting your dummy out just because you put a silly post up. And you didn't miss out, you just decided that financially it wasn't worth it, which is fair enough. Told you, I'm lucky enough to not be bothered about money etc. it's the last thing on my mind when it comes to buying cars. I don't think it's a superiority thing, I think that's in your head, it's just a nicer car. If it's something that's out of your reach then there's not a lot anyone can do about it? Enjoy your S3, its still a nice car you know...

Oh and stick up your proof when you have it, or just shut up when its things you know nothing about and then we don't need to have these silly little chats. Go enjoy your RS3 and counting the mountains of cash that exist in your mind. Dreamer. ;)

He he another 'spit my dummy out' response!
And what proof are you on about? I'm not the one posting about the future plans of Audi UK. I'm just saying that it's in your head... no nonsense facts coming out of my mouth:tearsofjoy:
I just said I'll be getting an RS4. And I could probably make one myself in the time it will take you to get in an RS3.
Just keep dreaming about getting your hands on one, it's a huge step up from the S3 you know. Different car, but you know this right?

OK, say hi to your mum from me when you hand her car keys back. Dreamer.

The way l see things if Audi dont show a RS3 SPORTBACK at this Octobers Paris motor show there wont be one,l have no doubt in my mind there will be the 395 bhp saloon coming to the UK....next year Starting from £47,000,and it will be that price just £10k cheaper than the S3 saloon,TTS £41,600,TTRS £51,800.

Don't speculate on this forum you should know of all people. This is a forum simply based on facts....ok......so RS4 will be 2019 at the earliest. 'tearsofjoy'
