What have you done today?

Have removed K04 turbos from S3's 'easily' with not removing the head on the std manifolds... they are a little more awkward than K03's for sure but doable... probably getting confused with the work required to fit old relentless manifolds as they were a complete c*** to do...

What kinda "special" tools you recommend?

I started my car today after breaking the clutch 6 months ago. Yet to be driven though.

Had a quick drive in the car again yesterday and today....all back to old self, hoping new box lasts with all the same upgrades minus billet input shaft.

Had some lovely weather for building it in the garden in the evenings this week

After a lot of work I managed to mount RNS - D unit in pre facelift center console and keep all switches and Climatronic

Found some mint original ally mirrors, i was not sure about these but saw some on a silver S3 at AITP and they looked good.

Took the housings off

Used some metal polish and then waxed them

Fitted them on, i wasn't sure at first but i think they look ok with the silver?

Did a scan, still code free:sunglasses:

Fitted air freshener:smiley:

Wow, that looked so good, what did you do to get the intake mani so shiney? Same with outlet pipe, is it changed or using polish blade on the grinder? :)

replaced the front left abs sensor with a new one but im still having errors so im guessing my pump is knackered

Abs issue

here's a pic of the ignition barrel cover, its little touches like these that makes a difference in my opinion.

Barrel Cover

Oil service light has decided to visit again, Also my trip computes is acting crazy when i disconnect the battery its shows the more or less correct economy and miles to empty but the moment i drive off it goes to 51/L 100km and on a full tank its shows it will run empty after 140 kilos, there is a blow on my exhaust at the manifold area and i my oxygen sensor is acting dodgy but does that influence the trip computer in any way ?

Crazy economy

also starting laying down some wood look tiles in my living room, my dad is really doing a good job on it in my opinion

Finally I have replaced my oil pick up pipe, cleaned sump and oil/filter change. I have been meaning to do this for ages but just haven't got round to doing it.

Strainer was slightly blocked and sump was filthy. Lots of broken dipstick plastic pieces

Car seemed to sound quieter on tick over so pleased l did It

(A couple of days ago) I removed the Milltek exhaust from my car with fellow ASN member @Grundy and fitted it to his car. Then fitted a 3" Zinram on mine, both sound awesome

Also fitted the TT jacking points to both cars, nice and easy direct fit and makes it so much easier to put the car on stands. good shout by @scotty24

This afternoon I fitted a pre facelift middle exhaust hanger to give extra support to the big heavy 3" exhaust system (pre F/L use the forward hanger where as F/L use the one further back) which was definitely needed to pull it up tight

How do you find the quality of the Zinram? Is it loud? Sound decent? Really cool that they do 3 and 3.5" off the shelf. They seem busy though, did it take long to get yours?

I was really impressed with the quality and with it being in 4 sections there's quite alot of adjustment to get a perfect fit. It's quite loud but does sound awesome though and no horrid droning which was my biggest concern

Don't hold your breath waiting for a reply from them though, they probably won't whether it be in English or German but it took just over 4 weeks to arrive from when I ordered

Cool - sounds good. How did you get in contact with them? I sent a message on Facebook and their website. No reply yet but on Facebook they had an auto responder saying they were busy and it'd take 5 days to reply.

Yeah you may not get a reply Sam, I tried many times but got nothing. I just went on there website and ordered it and paid with paypal, confirmation came though not long after but had no update until 4 weeks later to say it was being shipped I think delivery took two days to UK

Been busy with other things and never had time to do stuff for myself..

Today was my time, SQS shifter with modified cables fitted..
Also some fab work for something new I'm doing to the S3 engine.. Looking forward to this project is all done. Will be joining the aftermarket ECU gang with the mods I'm doing.

I bought a family car - its not the Citroen Picaso my wife wanted me to get - but there is enough room for everything we need for holidays.

I spent a long time checking over bits, especially after the nightmare Audi S3 I have - so hopefully it will be okay for a year or so, I will move the S3 onto a 3000 mile classic car insurance on renewal. never had a Mazda before, not sure of the colour but it is definitely blue.
